DOM: Robotics Club will meet from 3 to 4 in Room 412.
WILL: Robotics club members should have parents/guardians to complete the FTC form online.
DOM: Handful of Help is needing donations from people like you!
WILL: What is Handful of Help?
DOM: I’m glad you asked, a handful of help is an opportunity to help the local homeless from December 1st through the 15th. Fccla is collecting donations and putting them together.
WILL: What can you donate?
DOM: You can donate ziplock bags, toiletries, bandages, and warm clothes.
WILL: That sounds like a nice cause!
DOM: It is! If you have any questions email Mrs. Gregory.
WILL: All students who need to take EOC exams will begin testing tomorrow! If you need to take an EOC you should have received an email stating when and where they will be testing.
DOM: If you cannot attend your scheduled EOC exam, you need a doctors note and will need to schedule a make-up test with Mrs. Hess. Please bring a fully charged chromebook for each test!

KATE: Yeah I’ve heard a little bit about how we need more volunteers to sign
TESSA: We are filming two christmas challenges and need people who are willing to participate and be on the news
KATE: People can sign up using the QR codes in the corner of the screen
TESSA: Secondly, there are a couple of meetings tonight in Dr. Weatherwax’s room, room 315.
KATE: Mock Trial meets from 5:30 to 7:30
TESSA: and the Tribune will meet from 7:30 to 8:15.
KATE: Attention anyone in Bible Study: the group will meet tomorrow during tutorial in Mr. Burdis’s room, room 515.
TESSA: The FCCLA Blood Drive will be taking place a week from today on December 6th.

TESSA: The Diversity Club meeting this week on Wednesday has been cancelled.

TESSA: FCCLA will sponsor its Winter Blood Drive next Wednesday, December 6th.
MADALYN: If you are interested in donating blood, you must be 16 years or older and must complete a permission form.

MADALYN: And, if you donate blood three times during your time in high school, you will receive a red cord to wear at graduation. Again, the FCCLA Winter Blood Drive will be on December 6th. FCCLA will sponsor another drive in March.
TESSA: Hey, Seniors–if you haven’t already heard, the senior incentive is back again.
MADALYN: That’s right. In an effort to incentivize what employers, admission representatives, and community members alike say are some of the most important aspects of being successful, senior incentive is back.
TESSA: The incentive allows seniors to be exempt from semester exams. To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
MADALYN: A B or better in the course.
TESSA: No more than 3 total unexcused tardies–this includes the sum of tardies to school and all classes.
MADALYN: zero unexcused absences.
TESSA: and, no disciplines or office referrals.
MADALYN: So, seniors, do your best to meet those criteria and don’t sweat the semester exams!

Boys and Girls basketball will get started in December, as will swimming and bowling. So, we’ll have a lot to report after the break.

Brave Madness is tonight from 6-8 in the gym. It is the boys basketball tream vs the girls team, there will be a raffle and all funds raised go to support the teams.

Yesterday, the THS Daily News entire crew got together for a Thanksgiving meal and to talk about what they are thankful for. Dom and Will put this video together:

MARLEY: From there, simply follow the instructions.
GRACIE: As you know, THS Drama put on their production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest this past weekend.

Girls basketball is making their way to Mercy McAuley tonight for a scrimmage

And there will be a meeting for all Winter athletes tomorrow night at 530 in the PAC

That’s all for sports today but make sure to stay tuned because Girls Basketball will kick off their season with their first game on November 22. Boys basketball will have their first game on December 1st, Wrestling will have their first meet on December 7th, bowling will have their first match on December 8th, and Swimming will have their first meet on December 12th. So there is plenty to look forward to in the world of talawanda sports. ]

ADDI: Over the weekend a couple of our cross country runners attended the Nike Regional in Tarraho, Indiana. Adriana Luking and Bryson Fears both ran in the open race while Lucia Rodbro ran in the championship race, a spot she earned with her impressive times. Such a fun experience for the three of them, congrats and good work.

SIENNA: THS Drama’s production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest opens tonight.
ALEXA: Shows run tonight and tomorrow night 7:00, and on 2:00  Sunday.
SIENNA: All shows are $8, and tickets can be purchased before each show outside the Performing Arts Center.
ALEXA: Setting Stone is looking for submissions for its literary-art magazine.
SIENNA: That’s right. Setting Stone wants your original writing, artwork, and photography. You can send original works to settingstone@talawanda.org, or drop them off to Mr. Aerni in room 320.
ALEXA: Additionally, Setting Stone is selling some new merch.
SIENNA: They have new t-shirts, crewnecks, and hoodies in a variety of sizes.
ALEXA: Stop by room 320 to check out what they have.

ALEXA:  I passed by it but I didn’t get a chance to check it out.
