**INTRO**
SIENNA: Recording live from the THS Newsroom in Oxford, Ohio, this is THS daily news.
ALEXA: Today is WEDNESDAY, MAY 8th. I’m ALEXA
SIENNA: and I’m SIENNA. Here’s what’s happening around THS:
ALEXA: Tomorrow is the last day that the Perfect Blend coffee shop will be open for the year!
SIENNA: The Perfect Blend really enjoys when teachers bring their classes down, so if you would like to bring your class tomorrow, each coffee that a staff member purchases (for his/herself or for a student) will be just $1!
ALEXA: Yes, and it will be open  from 7:30 to 11:30 tomorrow morning. Thank you to everyone who visited and bought coffee this year.
SIENNA: In other news, there will be a Job Fair on Thursday, May 9th.
ALEXA: Tables will be set up in the cafeteria during tutorial and all three lunches.
SIENNA: Business representatives will be there, including Kroger, Gillmans, Miami, LaRosa’s and more.
ALEXA: Any student looking for summer employment and beyond can find more information at the Fair.
SIENNA: Looking forward to this weekend, after prom will be hosted at the Miami Rec Center.
ALEXA: To attend after prom, you must have a signed waiver upon entry. You can find these waivers in the main office.
SIENNA: The cost of after prom is included in the purchase of prom tickets, however students who do not attend prom can still attend after prom. The cost for these students is $10 at the door.
ALEXA: Everyone must enter afterprom by 1am. There will be lots of activities such as swimming, volleyball, basketball, and a photo booth. There will also be raffles with prizes including airpods, beats. Giftcards, and many others.
SIENNA: Food will be provided from LaRosa’s and Canes, and there will be lots of snacks and drinks.
ALEXA: To all students attending, we can’t wait to see you there!
SIENNA: High School students are needed to help with 2 sessions of Field Day at Marshall Elementary on Tuesday May 21st
ALEXA: Times are 8:25-11:40am and 11:15am-12:40pm.
SIENNA: If you happen to not have an exam during one or both of the times and would like to work with the kids outside, then scan the QR code in the corners of the screen to sign up.
ALEXA: If you have any questions you can ask Mrs. Ruther.
SIENNA: As many of you know, there are only a few days left for our seniors.
ALEXA: That’s right–and, a new take on an old tradition is the Senior Sunset. Here with more on this is THS Daily News anchor and correspondent Kate:

SIENNA: And, that’s it for news today, Talawanda–so, let’s drive into sports with Addi.
SPORTS INTRO: **
ADDI: Welcome back from the long weekend, we had a lot that happened over those 4 days so let’s talk about it.

Starting with baseball, on Monday they took on Cincinnati Country day falling to them 11-1. And last night they their senior night against edgewood although that game ended in close 11-10 loss for the brave, they were still able to honor their seniors Tyler Robinson, AJ Hainline, and Derek Hacker. Congratulations on a great senior season.

Next up, tennis took on Little Miami on Monday falling to them 3-2. Wins were posted by Milo Flaspohler

Finally our track team attended the SWOC championship meet yesterday at harrison. The boys placed 4th overall. And the girls team claimed the title of SWOC champions thanks to contributions from the whole team.

That’s all from the weekend, now for what we have going on tonight. Boys tennis is currently competing at the sectionals tournament. We will be hearing results from that soon

Also tonight, baseball will take on CHCA. Varsity will be away while Jv is at home. Both games are to begin at 5.

That’s all we got for sports today,
