11.17.23 | Anchor Script

GRACIE:  Recording live from the THS NEWSROOM in Oxford, Ohio, this is THS daily news.
MARLEY: Today is FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17th–the last day before Thanksgiving break.
GRACIE: So, hang in there, Talawanda–we’re almost there.
MARLEY: I’m MARLEY
GRACIE: and I’m GRACIE. And here’s what’s happening around THS:
MARLEY: After the Thanksgiving break, FCCLA will sponsor its Winter Blood Drive on Wednesday, December 6th.
GRACIE: If you are interested in donating blood, you must be 16 years or older and must complete a permission form.
MARLEY: Permission forms can be found in the main office, room 611, or at lunch.
GRACIE: And, if you donate blood three times during your time in high school, you will receive a red cord to wear at graduation. Again, the FCCLA Winter Blood Drive will be on December 6th. FCCLA will sponsor another drive in March.
MARLEY: Hey, GRACIE–you know how THS Daily News broadcasts every school day with information about school events and sports, right?
GRACIE: Yeah. I am an anchor, you know.
MARLEY: I know, I know. Same. The reason I ask is because there’s another news source here at THS, one that covers human interest stories, reviews, and a lot more.
GRACIE: Oh, yeah–I think I did know that. It’s the Talawanda Tribune, right?
MARLEY: That’s right. If you’re looking for some in-depth coverage on a variety of topics, check out the Tribune at talawandatribune.org.
GRACIE: Sounds great.
MARLEY: That’s it for announcements today. If you think of it, nominate someone for a BRAVE award before you leave for break.
GRACIE: And now, let’s head over to Addi at the Sports desk:
ADDI INTRO: ******
ADDI: The only sports news I have to report today is the Wrestling team scrimmage tomorrow at Mason High School.

Boys and Girls basketball will get started in December, as will swimming and bowling. So, we’ll have a lot to report after the break.

Brave Madness is tonight from 6-8 in the gym. It is the boys basketball tream vs the girls team, there will be a raffle and all funds raised go to support the teams.

Yesterday, the THS Daily News entire crew got together for a Thanksgiving meal and to talk about what they are thankful for. Dom and Will put this video together:

**CONTENT** ***NEWSGIVING***
MARLEY: And, that’s it for today, Talawanda. Thanks for watching. I’m MARLEY
GRACIE: and I’m GRACIE. Have a great break, THS. We’ll see you in a week. And…
MARLEY & GRACIE HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
