Starting with Wrestling at Valley View this past Saturday: Fisher Geunther placed 3rd, Josh Haynes placed 5th, Alex Farrel placed 6th good work guys

Saturday was quite an exciting day because Boys Basketball took on Valley View at home defeating them 60 to 49

Girls basketball had multiple games over the break and their record is currently sitting at 6-5 and climbing

Finally our swimmers had quite the packed break but were gonna focus on last week on thursday the girls overcame wayne but falling to butler while the boys took the win over both teams. On friday the girls beat both ross and hamilton, the boys beating hamilton but falling to ross. Finally on Saturday the boys finished 3rd of 17 teams and the girls finished 5th of 17 teams. COngratulations ot Abbie Curry who set a meet record in the 50 free.

No sports for today so that’s all ive got for you today and No content as we are getting back into the swing of things so right back over to the desk it is.

All right…so, last night the Girls Basketball team traveled to Northwest to face the Knights and came home with a win. Final score 49 to 40. Way to go, girls.

No other scores to report–but, coming up, we have the Boys Basketball at Northwest on Friday, the swim competing at the Miami Rec center against Little Miami and Brookville, and the Wrestling team competing at the Edgewood Invitational tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Both of Talawanda’s female wrestlers, Channing Adkins and Dinisha Tamang, competed in an all-female wrestling meet at Badin HS last night. Dinisha had her first full-length match–going all three periods and into overtime, ending with a very close 7 to 9 loss to a wrestler from Walnut Hills. Keep it up, ladies–you’re doing great!

The swim & dive teams opened their season last night with a tri-meet against Harrison and Fairfield.  Both the boys and girls teams came away with double victories.  The girls did it in an impressive fashion winning 11 of 12 events.  Individual event winners for the girls were Anna Gregg, Kaylyn Macechko, Eliza Sullivan, Abbie Curry, and Lindsay Offenburger.  The boys’ meet was a bit closer as it came down to the final race of the evening, but the boys were able to hold off Fairfield to capture a narrow 3 point victory over them.  Individual event winners for the boys were the brothers Patrick Mullally and Stephen Mullally. Sounds like a pretty successful start to the season.

The wrestling team attended a tournament at dayton christian the team placing 5th overall. Individual placer were fisher geunther in 3rd place, tyler roth, will tanner, ashton shea, and Ej grose all placing 4th, alex farrell in 7th and thomas harper placing 8th. Sounds like a great weekend.

last night, the wrestling team made their way to western Hills, overcoming them with a score of 36-30. winners for the brave were Thomas Harper, Dalton Rand, Will Tanner, Henry Longchamp, Ashton Shea, and Fisher Guenther. They will be back in action tomorrow participating in a tournament at Dayton Christian

Its friday, which means boys basketball will be hitting the court tonight. They will face Mt. healthy in their first conference matchup of the season. That game will be at home tonight at 730 the theme is neon out

One thing we unfortunately left out yesterday (apologies, Mr. Schmid) were the results of Wednesday’s academic challenge meet. The academic challenge team swept Mt. Healthy WEDNESDAY night in their season opening match.  The varsity team won their matches by scores of 73-19 and 70-15.   The JV won their match by a score of 52-30.
