March 6th, 2020

Good Morning Talawanda. Today is Friday, March 6th, 2020.

A Jostens representative will be here on Monday, the 9th, during lunch, to hand out Graduation Announcement orders.

The talent show this year will be Friday March 20th, if you are interested in showcasing your talent please pick up a form in the office or outside room 611.  You may turn them in to Mrs. Gregory or any of the co-chairs listed on the form.   This is a great way to showcase your talent and help others, as all the money will be donated to local charities.

First year FFA members have the opportunity to participate in the Greenhand Quiz Career Development Event, which tests all new members knowledge of FFA and agriculture history. Of the 153 schools that took the greenhand quiz, Talawanda finished THIRD IN OHIO. Another blue banner in the 600 hallway will be raised with the following freshmen’s names: Kaydence Morris, Anna Abbitt, Anna Moeller and Ryland Beckner. Also on the team were Halee McDade, Hannah Kold, and Kylee Carver. Of the nearly 2,500 FFA members that took this quiz, all Talawanda FFA members finished in the top 13%. This will be our first banner in greenhand quiz since 2009. Go Aggies!

The good news keeps on coming for the Talawanda FFA chapter! Farm Business Management tests a student’s ability to handle scenarios that a typical agricultural professional would face in the real world including financial strategies and marketing.  Talawanda finished SECOND IN OHIO and qualified for the national competition in Massachusetts this fall. Another blue banner in the 600 hallway will be raised with the following names: Joseph Copeland, Kasey Condo, Gaege Feix, and Austin Weekley. Other team members included Layne Schwab, Peyton Weekley, Kari Herrmann, Jordan Schulte, Keira Mckinney, and Josh Niehoff. Go Aggies!
