Birthdays for today:  Elijah Ward turns 15, Katie Rose turns 16, and Noah Staton turns 17.

And now for world news and Patty G with sports.

Tuesday was a rough day for the variety boys golf team at the SWOC tournament.  They came up just short of victory, falling to conference champions Harrison. But congrats to the Braves for putting together a great 12 & 1 match record this year!  Charlie Faler and Austin Goerss were named to first team all-conference;  Trey Hubbard and myself were selected to second team;  Nick Vandenberg made honorable mention;  and Dylan Slager received the Sportsmanship Award.   So the golf senior night is tonight at Hueston Woods — and originally we were supposed to play Badin, but they had to cancel after a scheduling error so instead there will be an intersquad scramble between the varsity seniors and the underclassmen. But that is good news because the crowd can be noisier. Specators are still welcome as we honor the three seniors on the team tonight. Tee time is 3:50 at Hueston Woods and the students section theme for tonight is a jersey out.

The boys soccer team got back to their winning ways with a 2-1 win over Little Miami last night at home. The Braves improve to 7-0-0 in the SWOC an are 9-1-0 overall. Quinn Flaspohler scored the two goals in the game.

The girls soccer team fell to Little Miami in a slim 1-0 game last night. Their record goes to 6-3-1 overall and 4-3-0 in the SWOC.

The girls volleyball team fell to Little Miami in straight sets last night on the road. Their record falls to 4-9 overall, and 2-5 in the SWOC.

And big news coming out of Field Hockey. The Varsity team fell 3-1 last night to Indian Hill on the road with Inji Walsh scoring the Braves Goal, but the JV Team beat the Indians 1-0 on a goal by Emma Schrimper; so congratulations to the JV Field Hockey team with their big win last night. And on Thursday, after school, the field hockey team will be selling slices of LaRosa’s cheese pizza for $2.00 a slice.  Bring exact money, two 1 dollar bills to either of the doors by the main office, or by the cafeteria to get your $2.00 slice.  They look forward to seeing you on Thursday after school!

Home games for today:  The varsity golf senior night is underway at 3:50 at Hueston Woods and Boys JV Golf takes on Badin at 4. Also good luck to the Girls Golf team who plays in their SWOC tournament today at Miami Whitewater.

And that’s our broadcast on this Wednesday. I’m Patrick Geshan. Thank you so much for watching — and we’ll see you tomorrow.
