GRACIE: Recording live from the THS News Room in Oxford, Ohio, this is THS daily news.
MARLEY: We’re here to bring you all the latest news, updates, and announcements from in and around the school.
GRACIE: Today is TUESDAY, March 5th. I’m GRACIE.
MARLEY: and I’m MARLEY. Now, let’s get into it.
GRACIE: On April 18th, National Honors Society is hosting the NHS Charity Dance: themed Taylor’s Version.
MARLEY: It will be held in the THS cafeteria from 7pm to 10pm. All students are invited to attend a night full of friendship bracelets, best outfit awards, surprised song voting, photo booths and more. The dance soundtrack is The Eras Tour setlist.
GRACIE: Tickets are $5 at the door and all proceeds will be donated to the Talawanda Oxford Pantry & Social Services food pantry. Come out to sing and dance with your friends while raising money for a good cause!
MARLEY: A few more upcoming events include the FCCLA Spring Blood Drive on March 15th…
GRACIE: … as well as the Best Buddies dance on March 15th from 3:30 to 5pm.
MARLEY: The THS talent show will also be held on March 22nd.  Here’s Cale with more information on that
**NEWS** CALE TALENT SHOW
MARLEY:  Sounds like fun, students, make sure to mark your calendars so you don’t miss any of those events
GRACIE: In other news.. Butler Tech has reopened applications for a few porgrams in the 2024/2025 school year.
MARLEY: That’s right. These programs include SOA dance, theater, and vocal music, as well as senior only Firefighting and EMT and Beyond.
GRACIE:  Moving into meetings happening today, Project Green will take place from 3-4 in room 224
MARLEY:  Art club will meet from 3:00 to 3:45 after school today in room 603.
GRACIE: Setting Stone will be held right after school at 3pm, in room 320.
MARLEY: And finally, Mock Trial meets from 4:30-7:30pm in room315.
GRACIE: That wraps up events and meetings, but we have one more reminder for you.
MARLEY:  Because food, drinks, and other non-recyclable trash continues to be put in recycling containers, recycling pickup will be limiting classroom recycling to paper only into the foreseeable future. Please put everything except paper in the trash can.
GRACIE : To finish us off today, here’s Dean and Connor interviewing students about their Spring Break plans.
