TESSA: Today is WEDNESDAY, January 17th. I’m TESSA
KATE: and I’m KATE. Here’s what’s happening around THS:
TESSA: First we would like to call all artists!
KATE: The Reily Township Good Neighbor Group is looking for a logo design.Any THS student who lives in Reily Township is eligible to create and submit a design idea.
TESSA: If you are interested please email Mrs. Claire or pop into room 603 for more information. The logo submission deadline is early March, so act fast!
KATE: Next up is a quick reminder of the Diversity Club meeting after school today in Room 400.
TESSA: Now looking a little bit later this week, Best Buddies will be meeting in the cafeteria during the tutorial this Friday.
KATE: Also since we have had another delay THS Ambassadors is meeting during tomorrow’s tutorial instead of todays.
TESSA: And finally Bible Study will be meeting this Friday, during tutorial in Mr. Burtis’ room.
KATE: Make sure that if you are in any clubs you are checking your email and google classroom for any updates.

  • Wrestling competed at the Sycamore Invitational on Saturday
    • Fisher Guenther took 3rd place in the 113 weight class
    • Colton Smith took 6th place in the 144 pound weight class
    • Will Tanner placed 4th in the 157 pound weight class
    • Mathias Militzer placed 6th in the 175 pound weight class
  • Last night, the wrestling team completed in a tri-meet with Princeton and Northwest at Northwest High School
  • Several highlights from the meet, including Kyler Brown’s first season win, winning with a pin against Princeton! Other standout matches included wins from Will Tanner and Mathias Militzer.
  • The wrestling team is back in action tonight vs. Franklin County High School.

Over the weekend the swim team attended the Southwest swim classic. Some highlights from that include outstanding performances from Abbie Curry, Anna Gregg, Kaylyn Machecko, Morgan Sly and Caroline Mignery who all qualified in the finals for their respective relays. Congrats ladies. On the boys side there were multiple competitors who raced theri season bests including all three of their relay teams.
