MADALYN:  Recording live from the THS NEWSROOM in Oxford, Ohio, this is THS daily news.
TESSA: Today is MONDAY, NOVEMBER 27th. I’m TESSA
MADALYN: and I’m MADALYN. And,  here’s what’s happening around THS:
TESSA: The Diversity Club meeting this week on Wednesday has been cancelled.
MADALYN: THS Bible Study will meet this Friday during tutorial.
TESSA: FCCLA will sponsor its Winter Blood Drive next Wednesday, December 6th.
MADALYN: If you are interested in donating blood, you must be 16 years or older and must complete a permission form.
TESSA: Permission forms can be found in the main office, room 611, or at lunch.
MADALYN: And, if you donate blood three times during your time in high school, you will receive a red cord to wear at graduation. Again, the FCCLA Winter Blood Drive will be on December 6th. FCCLA will sponsor another drive in March.
TESSA: Hey, Seniors–if you haven’t already heard, the senior incentive is back again.
MADALYN: That’s right. In an effort to incentivize what employers, admission representatives, and community members alike say are some of the most important aspects of being successful, senior incentive is back.
TESSA: The incentive allows seniors to be exempt from semester exams. To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
MADALYN: A B or better in the course.
TESSA: No more than 3 total unexcused tardies–this includes the sum of tardies to school and all classes.
MADALYN: zero unexcused absences.
TESSA: and, no disciplines or office referrals.
MADALYN: So, seniors, do your best to meet those criteria and don’t sweat the semester exams!
TESSA: Interested in starting or running your own business? Have you considered business or entrepreneurship as a major?
MADALYN: If so, Professor Conger from Miami University’s Farmer School of Business will be at THS this Wednesday, November 29th in the cafeteria during tutorial–and, cookies will be provided.
TESSA: This initial meeting will be used to share and discuss potential partnership ideas. If you have questions, please see Mr. Davie or Mr. Birkemeier.
MADALYN: Robotics club will meet this afternoon from 3 to 4 in Mrs. Schrann’s room, room 412.
TESSA: And, tomorrow there are several meetings, including Best Buddies, Art Club, and Mock Trial.
MADALYN: Another thing coming up this Thursday from 3:30 until 7 is teacher conference night.
TESSA: And, during Conference Night, Mr. Davie is hosting “Coffee with the Principal” at 5:30 in the Perfect Blend.
