The Homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, September 17 from 8pm
to 11 pm. If you have a suggestion please see Mrs. Sammons for the
form link. Homecoming court representative applications are available
with Ms Mann or Mrs Sammons. Due date to apply is August 31

Attention writers, readers, graphics designers, and photographers:
The Talawanda Tribune, THS’s online newspaper needs you!  Our first
meetings is today after school in room 417.  All are welcome!

Coming off their state title win last year, THS Mock Trial wants you.
In order to defend their title, they need any interested students to
contact Dr. Weatherwax and get ready for their first meeting August
30th. Will Salzarulo prepared these videos to promote the club.

Attention NHS seniors: We’ll meet after school next Tuesday, August
30th, in Ms. Alfonsi’s room.  Please see our Google Classroom for
details if you have to miss the meeting.

Class officer applications are available in room 319 with Ms Mann!

Interested in art? writing? music? graphic design? Then, Setting Stone
might be for you! Setting Stone is a club at Talawanda that develops
and designs its own literary-art magazine using work from Talawanda
students, and also hosts a live-music events called the Coffee House
three times a year. If you are interested in being a part of this
group, we would love to have you join us for our first meeting of the
year. We will meet on Monday, August 29th—right after school in Mr.
Aerni’s room—#320.

The Talawanda Youth Initiative Team (or YIT) will be having its first
meeting on Wednesday, 8/24 after school in the media center.  If you
are interested in growing your leadership skills, planning fun events,
and encouraging THS students to make healthy and safe choices, this
could be for you!  Contact Mrs. Macechko with questions.

And now over to Zander Moore with Moore Sports

The first Monday of the season is over as the volleyball team who
traveled to Valley View defeated them in 5 sets starting their season
2-0, they’ll be back on the court Wednesday.

Girls tennis shutout Hamilton 5-0 improving their record to 2-3, they
head right back into action at home tonight against Monroe.

Field Hockey battled Fairmont last night and settled with a 2-2 tie,
Anna Newlin and Sydnee Baryman with the first goals of the season for
the team, they head to Mount Notre Dame tonight.

Concluding Monday’s final scores, Boys Golf lost to Badin 189-164, the
team will have a week to get ready for their next match against
Colerain.

Only one home game tonight where the Girls Tennis team takes on Monroe
at 5pm tonight, while girls soccer heads to Princeton, that game
beginning at 7.
