March 10th, 2020

Good Morning Talawanda. Today is Tuesday, March 10th, 2020.

Tonight we have a Choir and Jazz Band Concert at 7:00 pm in the PAC. Wednesday, March 11 we have Music, Sweet Music! in the cafeteria.  Desserts service will start at 6:00 pm the Steel Band and Jazz Band will perform at 7:00 pm.

Teens are more vulnerable to mental illness based on the major brain changes happening in these years.  More than 11% of teens have had a major depressive episode in the last year.   Depression is a constant sense of sadness that makes it hard to do everyday tasks.  Counselors use music as a way to help suffering people.  Music can relax the mind and energize the body.  Give yourself a boost and attend tonight’s Evening of Jazz at 7:00 in the PAC.

There are tons of talented Talawanda Students so please sign up for the talent show this year.  Forms are in the office or outside room 611, they are due to Mrs. Gregory or one of the co-chairs by Thursday!  We will start selling tickets on Monday, March 16th, the cost is $5.00.
