ADDI INTRO: ******
ADDI: First up, our Mock Trial team competed in districts last Friday at the Butler County Court of Common Pleas, and both teams qualified for regionals. Nice work!

Wrestling was busy this past weekend with a few wrestlers competing at the Samm Ridder Eaton Invitational–Fisher Guenther took 6th place there after stuffing a shoulder injury–and JV was at the Ross Joshua Hartzell Memorial Tournament, where Colton Smith and Henry Longcamp both took 5th place, and Mathias Militzer fought his way to a first place finish. Way to go, guys.

For the 11th time in the past 12 years both the boys and girls swim & dive teams are SWOC champions.  This past weekend both teams knocked off Harrison to claim the SWOC title.  Every event contested at the meet was won by someone from Talawanda.

Abbie Curry won both of her events in convincing fashion and, for her efforts, is the Female SWOC Athlete of the Year.  For the boys, Stephen Mullally won both of his events as well, which earned him Male SWOC Athlete of the Year honors.

Other event winners for the Brave swimmers  this weekend were Anna Gregg, Kaylyn Macechko, Lindsay Offenburger, Caroline Mignery, Patrick Mullally, Jonah Femiani, and Adam Hunt.  The Brave will now turn their attention to the state tournament as the Sectional Swim Meets will be next weekend February 9th & 10th.

It was a busy weekend for Basketball, as well. On Friday, the boys team fell to Northwest with a score of 42 to 58, but pulled out a win Saturday night versus Franklin County with a final score of 38 to 32. Nice work.

Here to talk a little about the win are varsity Cheerleaders, Alexis and Sadie, as well as varsity basketball star, Cale:
