April 12th, 2022

Good morning Talawanda, today is Tuesday, April 12th, 2022.

The talent show is on!  We have 8 student acts, Mr. Yuva, Mr Rhoton and our own choir ensemble that are going to perform!  We will start at 8am, we will have some “minute to win it” games in between some acts as they set up and get ready.  It will be a great time!  We will have tickets available Today and Wednesday only!  They will be available at all lunches in the lunch room and throughout the day in room 611 there is a $3 donation with all proceeds going to Children’s Hospital!  You HAVE to have a ticket to get into the show on Thursday!  Please see Mrs. Gregory if you have any questions.

With $61.95 raised for today, we can show you the next stunt in extreme week, Parker and the boys tackle the ‘Will You Eat it Challenge?’

50 more dollars raised for tomorrow and the next episode of extreme week, extreme multiplication, will be showed.

Are you interested in being in the 2022 marching band percussion or color guard sections? If so, come to the clinic on Wednesday starting in room 614. The Percussion will meet from 2:45-5 and the Color Guard from 3-5. If you are interested in participating but cannot make it to the clinic please contact Mr. Marston in room 614

The lacrosse team fell to La Salle last night by a 10-5 score, the team will look to rebound against Monroe Wednesday.

A couple of teams are heading out tonight with the Baseball team heading to Harrison looking to improve to 3-0 in conference play and the Boys Tennis team will travel to Edgewood.

Only one home game today, the softball team welcomes Little Miami, that game beginning at 5.

April 11th, 2022

Good morning Talawanda, today is Monday, April 11th, 2022.

We were able to raise 51 dollars and a can of ravioli, as well as 2 dinos in order to show the next stunt, hover board racing. Remember that we need to raise 50 dollars each day in order to show the next stunt.

Tomorrow is the classic ‘Will You Eat It’ episode of extreme week, where Chef Livvy prepares gourmet smoothies for our extreme week participants. 50 more dollars raised and we get to show that video.

On Friday the softball team defeated Ross by a score of 10-5 improving to 7-1 on the year, Rachel Dsuban led the way with a home run and 3 runs batted in, the Brave will host Little Miami tomorrow.

The lacrosse team fell to Miamisburg 16-11, their next action will be tonight.

Home games for today: After being rained out on Friday The Baseball team is back in action and will take on Ross at 5, and the Lacrosse boys will battle Lasalle with that starting at 6.

Good morning Talawanda, today is Friday, April 8th, 2022.

Lists are posted outside the Guidance Office of seniors who will be graduating with honors and also those who have met the state requirements to receive the diploma with honors.  Please see your counselor ASAP if you feel you should be on either of these lists but are not.

Parker and the boys kickoff extreme week.  It has been awhile, so to recap for those students who don’t know, Extreme week has been a tradition in our Broadcast class where we do stunts for charity – with the losers of the week having an extreme punishment at the Talent show next week.  The first video is free, but in order to see the rest of the week, we need to raise $50 per day during lunch.  For your first free extreme week video for 2022, Parker and the boys entertain us with an intense 100 yard dash.

The baseball and softball teams took on Harrison last night in conference play. The softball team took their first loss of the season and fall to 6-1 on the year while The baseball team grabbed their 4th win of their year beating the Wildcats in walk-off fashion 2-1 as Parker Geshan got the game winning hit. The baseball boys will travel to Harrison for a 5 o’clock game later today.

The Boys Tennis team took on Elder yesterday and lost by a score of 4-1, they fall to 2-4 on the year and will head to Springboro tonight, that match beginning at 4.

The lacrosse team travels over to Miamisburg today looking for their first win of the season, their game will start at 7.

Home games for today: Ross comes to town to face the softball team looking to bounce back after their first loss of the year, action for that beginning at 5.

The baseball team opened their conference season against Northwest last night, the team knocked off the knights 13-2, Max Mesler hit 2 triples for the Brave in the win, the boys are now 3-2 overall and will host Harrison tomorrow.

The softball team continued their dominance last night with 2 wins against Northwest, the latter of which was a 12-0 victory in which Junior McKenna Weekley pitched a perfect game with 12 strikeouts, the girls are now 6-0 and outscoring opponents 90-0 to begin their season, they will also host Harrison tomorrow.

The boys tennis team knocked off Badin last night 4-1, the team is now 2-3 and will continue non-conference action tomorrow at home against Little Miami.

Home games for today: the track teams will run partial squads in a tri-meet with Preble Shawnee and Monroe this afternoon, action will begin at 4.

The baseball team dropped a non-conference matchup with Milford on Saturday 7-2, Eddie Tanner led the Brave with 2 hits, the team falls to 2-2 on the season and has a big week coming up with 5 games beginning with a road trip to Northwest to open up conference play tonight.

The tennis team was swept by Moeller on Friday, their match record is now 1-3 and the team will host Badin this afternoon.

The lacrosse team fell to Turpin 17-3 on Saturday, Caleb Bogseth had 2 goals for the Brave and Jonathan Hall added 1, the team is back in action Wednesday as they host Fenwick.

The track teams both took 4th place at the Edgewood invite on Friday, Hannah Lippincott, Olivia Andrews, Lucia Rodbro, and Haley O’Brien were event winners for the girls, on the boys side, Henry Hoblitzell, and Logan Howard took home victories, both teams will be back in action tomorrow at home.

Home games for today: the tennis team will host Badin at 4.

The softball team picked up 2 conference wins last night over Mount Healthy, the Brave defeated the Owls 13-0 and 17-0, the latter of which was a no hitter, Lily Iden, Kaelyn Wright and Kylee Cobb all hit a home run for the Brave across both games, the girls are now 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the SWOC and will continue conference action on Monday in a doubleheader at Northwest.

The tennis team picked up their first win of the season last night on the road in a 5-0 rout of Taylor, the team will be back in action this afternoon as they head to Moeller for a 4 o’clock start.

No home games this weekend, but good luck to all our teams as they hit the road.

The lacrosse team was unfortunately defeated yesterday in a tough defensive battle, their next game will be Saturday at Turpin

The baseball boys took down Goshen yesterday by a score of 16-8, Noah Prewitt led the way for the Brave as he pitched 4 scoreless innings and tallied 4 hits including a couple triples. Their next game will be at Milford on Saturday.

The boys tennis team lost to St X B, 3-2, they will be at Taylor later today

The baseball team fell to Badin last night by a 7-1 score, Blake Detherage went 1-3 with a run to lead the Brave offense, the team falls to 1-1 on the season and will look to rebound tonight at Goshen.

The softball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 12-0 victory over Colerain last night, Kylie Cobb went 3-3 at the plate and pitched a complete game shutout giving up only one hit, the girls will jump back into conference action tomorrow as they head to Mount Healthy for a doubleheader.

Home games: the tennis team will host St. X B at 4, also tonight the lacrosse team will battle Chaminade Julienne on the field beginning at 6.

Seniors, remember that permission slips to help with BRAVE Day are due to Mrs Peter today.

Congratulations to Isa Schroer, Kate Bolenbaugh, Anthony Greene, and Isabella Walter for competing in the Oxford Rotary Four Way Test Speech Contest the Wednesday before spring break. These four students all delivered four to six minute memorized speeches in front of a panel of judges. Isa Schroer won the competition and will receive $200 for her efforts. Isa also competed as one of 16 finalists at the district level. Congratulations to Isa and the rest of the speakers.

The boys tennis team fell to Lakota East last night at home 5-0 in their season opener, the team will be back in action tomorrow as they host St. X B.

The softball team defeated Northwest in a dominant 21-0 victory last night over Northwest, Halee McDade and Makenna Weekley threw for a combine 5 inning no hitter, the team opens their year 1-0 and will host Colerain tonight.

The baseball team knocked off Monroe last night to begin their year, 4-2 was the final, Parker Geshan led the team with 3 hits, a big game is on the schedule tonight as the boys host one of the top teams in the state in Badin.

The lacrosse team lost to Edgewood last night to begin their 2022 campaign, the boys will be back at home tomorrow to face off with Chaminade Julienne.

Home games: the baseball team will host Badin at 5, Parker Geshan will take the mound for the Brave in the rivalry matchup, also the softball team will host Colerain at 5 as they look to continue a strong start to the season.
