ADDI: | We have some exciting news from last night so let’s get right into it.
Both of Talawanda’s female wrestlers, Channing Adkins and Dinisha Tamang, competed in an all-female wrestling meet at Badin HS last night. Dinisha had her first full-length match–going all three periods and into overtime, ending with a very close 7 to 9 loss to a wrestler from Walnut Hills. Keep it up, ladies–you’re doing great! The swim & dive teams opened their season last night with a tri-meet against Harrison and Fairfield. Both the boys and girls teams came away with double victories. The girls did it in an impressive fashion winning 11 of 12 events. Individual event winners for the girls were Anna Gregg, Kaylyn Macechko, Eliza Sullivan, Abbie Curry, and Lindsay Offenburger. The boys’ meet was a bit closer as it came down to the final race of the evening, but the boys were able to hold off Fairfield to capture a narrow 3 point victory over them. Individual event winners for the boys were the brothers Patrick Mullally and Stephen Mullally. Sounds like a pretty successful start to the season. Thats all for sports today, next up here is Messner Beast with the 7th day of Hanukkah |
