Today is TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26th, 2023.

and I’m MADALYN. And here’s what’s happening around THS.
SIENNA:
Tickets for this year’s Homecoming dance are on sale now. Visit TALAWANA DOT HOMETOWNTICKETING DOT COM to pick up your Homecoming ticket. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday at 11:59 p.m.
MADALYN:
If you plan on bringing a guest who does not attend Talawanda, you will need to pick up a guest form in the main office.
SIENNA:
Guest forms are due by Friday at 3 p.m.
MADALYN:
As you know, Talawanda, it’s spirit week!
SIENNA:
Hopefully everyone has their best Jungle gear on today.
MADALYN:
And, don’t forget, tomorrow is Pink Day–so bust out your best pink attire.
SIENNA:
Key Club is a service-oriented group here at THS, and tonight they will be having a bake sale during the girls JV and Varsity volleyball games.
MADALYN:
All money raised through this bake sale will go to the Amy Wengler community service scholarship for Talawanda graduates.
SIENNA:
Also, seniors, don’t forget that tomorrow there will be an assembly starting at the end of fourth period and running through tutorial.
MADALYN:
That assembly will feature people from The Butler County Board of Elections discussing the upcoming election in November and highlighting what’s on the ballot, election security, and how to register to vote.
SIENNA:
SETTING STONE meets today after school in Mr. Aerni’s room, room 320. Today’s meeting will be short, ending by 3:10.
MADALYN:
Art Club also meets after school today in Mrs. Claire’s room, room 603.
SIENNA:
Also, Wednesday’s Best Buddies meeting has been moved to next Tuesday, October 3rd.
MADALYN:
The meeting will be after school in Mrs. Sammons’s room, room 316, and will go until 3:30.
SIENNA:
One last meeting to note: Student Government officials should plan to meet in Mrs. Sammon’s room during tutorial tomorrow.
SIENNA:

Switching gears a little to sports–here’s Addi with a rundown of yesterday’s outcomes and upcoming games.
ADDI:
Alright so last night boys soccer took on northwest JV winning 3-1 goals by Connor, Gustavo, and Kizmat. Varsity ended with a 6-1 loss for the Brave goal by Harrison Zhang

Volleyball took on Colerain beating them 3-0, and Leah Noga hit 1000 career assists, great job girls.

Tonight, Girls Soccer will be taking on Northwest at home, the game beginning at 6

And Volleyball will also be at home facing northwest at 7pm

Now, THS, you may remember the RUN HIDE FIGHT drill we did as a school last Spring.
