MADALYN:
Speaking of Homecoming, it’s spirit week.
SIENNA:
That’s right–each day next week has a different theme.
MADALYN:
As you know, today is PJ Day. Hopefully everyone is feeling comfy–don’t fall asleep in class!
SIENNA:
And, tomorrow’s theme is “OXFORD JUNGLE.” So, wear safari clothes or something featuring an animal you might see in the jungle.
MADALYN:
Speaking of tomorrow, Key club will be having a bake sale during the girls jv and varsity volleyball games tomorrow night..
SIENNA:
That’s right. Sales will be going towards the Amy Wengler community service scholarship and for Talawanda graduates.
MADALYN:
Attention seniors: on Wednesday of this week there will be an assembly for the last 15 minutes of 4th period (11:05) through tutorial.
SIENNA:
Yes–this is a special opportunity to hear from the Butler County Board of Elections about the upcoming election in November. The assembly will highlight what’s on the ballot, election security, and how to register to vote.
MADALYN:
Also tomorrow: Setting Stone will meet right after school in Mr. Aerni’s room, room 320.
SIENNA:
Additionally, Art Club will meet after school in Mrs. Claire’s room, room 603.
MADALYN:
Attention Best Buddies members: this Wednesday’s meeting is canceled.
SIENNA:
Instead, Best Buddies will meet after school on Tuesday, October 3rd, in Mrs. Sammons’s room, room 316.
MADALYN:
The October 3rd Best Buddies meeting will go until 3:30 and feature fall themed snacks and games.
SIENNA:
Another cool thing happening right now is the BRAVE award. The school PBIS committee has put together a form where you can nominate anyone who attends THS for a BRAVE award.
MADALYN:
That’s right. Students and teachers can nominate anyone at THS for an award.
SIENNA:
People can be nominated for anything from building positive culture in and around THS to encouraging others to go above and beyond.
SIENNA:
So, if you see someone doing something positive or selfless or outstanding, use the QR code in the corners of the screen to nominate them for a BRAVE award.
MADALYN:
This is the final week celebrating Hispanic Heritage month.
SIENNA:
