Today is anything but a bcakpack day in honor of Ohio’s FCCLA’s state project this year We Help Two.  We Help Two, organizations not only raise funds for their cause but also impact their local community through their sock donation program to local homeless shelters.  FCCLA has partnered with We Help Two to support their Water for Africa program.  This incredible program helps to fund sustainable water projects throughout Africa.  These projects become a lifeline for the surrounding communities and reduce the risk of waterborne illnesses.  We can’t wait to see your hawaiian ideas tommorow. 

Best Buddies will host their first meeting of the year on Thursday right after school in room 316.  We will have an ice cream party, so if you are interested in Best Buddies, join us on Thursday for ice cream and fun!

Anyone interested in playing baseball for Talawanda this year should report to Coach Lykins’ room (413) during tutorial on Thursday September 1st for a brief informational meeting about fall workouts and community service opportunities.

Attention students! Voila, the world launguage club at talawanda high school will have its first meeting of the year after school on Thursday September 1st to greet new members and introduce our leadership team. The meeting will be in Mrs. Lefevers room (118) right after school. 

Any 10th or 11th grader that wants to take the PSAT on Wednesday October 12 needs to sign up in the guidance office with Miss Wise. The cost of the test is $20  and you will need to have your payment ready when you sign up. The deadline to sign up is September 9th. Please see your counselor of Mr. Phelps (in room 519) if you have any questions!

Students: This year’s homecoming theme has been decided! The

Masquerade in Fall will be held on Saturday, September 17 from 8 to

11pm in the THS gymnasium. Tickets will be sold beginning on Friday,

September 9 through HomeTown Ticketing. Students can bring one outside

guest with a completed permission slip turned into the office, but all

guests must be at least in 9th grade and must be under 21! Stay tuned

for more information earlier next week for ticket sales and dance

information

Girls soccer lost to Harrison 3-1 dropping their first conference match of the year, McKenzie Hanson had the lone goal, they will have the week off until their next match vs Edgewood

Hamilton took out Boys Golf 166-170, the boys next match is on the road at Fenwick

One home game today, Girls Tennis hosts McCauley at 4pm
