Good morning Talawanda, today is Monday, April 25th, 2022.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: The 2022 Talawanda High School prom will be May 7. Tickets are $40/each and will go on sale Thursday April 28th until May 6th at lunch, or with Mrs Johnson in the main office, or with Ms Mann. Please email Ms Mann for information about bringing guests who aren’t Talawanda students or any other prom-related questions. The 2022 prom will be held at Shriver Center on Miami’s campus, with a fantastic afterprom at the REC Center. Your ticket includes admission to both events! We can’t wait to see you at the PROM!  

SENIORS who would like to be on Prom Royalty Court should be receiving a link to nominate themselves for the Prom King/Queen ballot. Be on the lookout for this!

Do you like working with kids outside? If so, please consider signing up to help at the  Marshall Elementary Field Day on Tuesday, May 24, either in the morning or afternoon session. If you’re interested or have questions, please come by Mrs. Ruther’s room (224) or email her at ruthera@talawanda.org.

The baseball team split an eventful weekend with a big win over conference foe Edgewood on Friday, 10-0 was the final in that one, on Saturday the team took on the #1 team in the state for division 3 in the CHCA Eagles at Xavier University, the squad fell in that game by an 8-4 score, the boys take the lead in the conference championship race after the weekend with a record of 7-2 and will be at home today against Harrison.

The softball team suffered 2 losses to Arcanum on Saturday, the first by a 6-5 score and the second by a 9-1 score, the girls are now 11-5 overall and will look to rebound tomorrow as they head to Waynesville for a doubleheader beginning at 4:30.

The track teams headed to Eaton for the Dean Stoltz invitational over the weekend, the boys came away with the team championship and the girls were third, event wins came from Logan Murray and Hannah Lippincott in the 1600, Olivia Andrews and Henry Hoblitzell in the pole vault and the boys 4×100 meter relay team, the track team will divide the squads later this week with some athletes heading to Ross on Thursday and some heading to Huber Heights for the 2 day Wayne Invite on Thursday and Friday.

Home games for today: the baseball team will host Harrison in a crucial conference battle, action will begin at 5 on the field this evening.
