Good morning Talawanda, today is Monday, March 14th, 2022.

Talawanda High School Mock Trial is now the 2022 State Champions.  Congratulations to: Eliot Berberich, Muhammed Khan, Shr-Shiang Moore, Julia Peter, Alex Stenger, and Eliza Sullivan.

Juniors, Talawanda BRAVE Day is back, formally known as Pride day.  Look for a permission form in English class to participate in this wonderful experience. Seniors, if you would like to be a senior volunteer for BRAVE Day, please pick up a permission slip from Mrs. Peter in the counseling office.

It was a great day at region 4 FCCLA competition yesterday at Butler Tech for the Talawanda FCCLA Chapter. Chapter in Review level 2 Savannah Tepker, Dani Peters and Taylor Gregory won GOLD! Chapter Service Project Portfolio Level 3: Kenna Tepker and Lauren Slattery won SILVER. 

Interpersonal Communications Level 2: Lillian Shelley won GOLD. Food Innovation level 3: Lauren Slattery won SILVER. Chapter in Review level 3 : Hayden Burgess and Andrea Fangman won GOLD. Promote and Publicize FCCLA! Level 2: Nolen Wages and Lillian Shelley won GOLD.

We will found out on Tuesday who Qualified for state.

Now for a check in with the adapted art program at THS

There will be an FCA meeting this Wednesday at 2:20 in the Guidance Conference Room. Anyone is welcome to attend, and If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jacob Farmer, Harrison Cradduck, or Dean Cradduck.

Talent show is back! We will be having the talent show on Thursday April 14th.  There will be sign ups outside the main office for those interested in performing.

Sign ups are still open for the Bracket Challenge, brackets have now been released and can be filled out, they won’t luck until after the first four before the round of 64, so you have until Friday morning, the group name is Channel 85 Brackets and the passcode is still channel85 all lowercase no spaces, the winner will receive a $25 gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings, best of luck.

Congrats to Senior Andrew Shrider who over the weekend closed out his hockey career at the OHSAA State All Star Game in Columbus, Andrew led the Brave in scoring this season with 85 points, so congrats to him on a great career.

Also congrats to girls basketball coach Mary Jo Huismann who received some well overdue honors over the weekend as she was recognized at the basketball state championships for her 700 career victories.
