Good Morning, Talawanda! Today is Monday November 26th, 2018

Jostens will be in the cafeteria from 7-7:30am on November 28th for order turn in.

Setting Stone will NOT meet today.  However, Setting Stone editors should meet in Mr. Aerni’s room for a brief meeting right after school today.  Full club meetings will resume next week.

And now for What’s The T and Patty G.

The hockey team played 4 games over the Thanksgiving Weekend at the DiPaolo tournament going 2-2 overall. Talawanda beat Elder 12-0 on Friday night by a score of 12-0. On Saturday morning, the Brave also collected a win by an 8-3 margin over Indian Hill. However, Saturday night, Talawanda fell to Cincinnati by a score of 7-3, and they lost yesterday as well to Indian Hill by a 5-3 margin. The Cincinnati Swords became the eventual champion of the DiPaolo tournament.

A couple notes from last week now: Congratulations to Rory Adryan and Olivia Baker on being named the captains to the Girls Swim and Dive Team, and congratulations to Sean Mondello and John Anzano on being named captains of the Boys Swim and Dive team. The swim and and dive teams are looking to earn their 13th straight league championship this season and behind these four leaders they are the odds on favorite to do so. Their season gets underway on December 11th as the Brave will host a home tai-meet with St. X, Ursuline, and Middletown. Come out and Support the teams at the Miami Rec Center at 6pm that evening.

Congratulations to the team of Jared  Bretz, Shr-Hua Moore, Jasper Ralinovsky and Paul Bolenbaugh for winning their division at the Little Miami academic challenge tournament a couple of weekends ago.

Home games for today: Girls Basketball takes on Winton Woods, the Varsity game tips at 7:30. It will be live streamed on the Channel 85 YouTube tonight. I’l have the call at 7:30.

Football lifting begins today right after school. That’s our broadcast on this Monday.  I’m Patrick Geshan.  Thank you so much for watching — and #UCF in the playoffs.
