GRACIE: Recording live from the THS Newsroom in Oxford, Ohio, this is THS daily news.
MARLEY: Today is THURSDAY, April 18th. I’m MARLEY
GRACIE: and I’m GRACIE. Here’s what’s happening around THS:
MARLEY: As most of you know, the ELA EoC tests were this week.
GRACIE: That’s right–hopefully everyone figured out the alternate schedules.
MARLEY: And, EOC’s will continue into next week.
GRACIE: Science on April 30th
MARLEY: And lastly, Social Studies on May 1st.
GRACIE:  No club meetings tonight but the final Best Buddies meeting of the year will be on Friday, May 3 during tutorial in the cafeteria
MARLEY:  All members should check the club’s Instagram’s page or stop outside Mrs. Sammons’s room for information on our t-shirt sale.
GRACIE: On another note, the Setting Stone coffee house will take place May 3rd. You can sign up now outside Mr. Aernis room, 320.
MARLEY:  They are also looking for photography submissions to add to their literary art magazine, so if you have any cool photos send them to settingstone@talawanda.org today
GRACIE: Attention members of the class of 2024! Our year is coming to an end, so don’t forget to check your email regularly for information regarding graduation.
MARLEY: You can also check the lists posted outside of the School Counseling Office regarding those graduating Summa, Magna, Cum Laude and Honors Diplomas
GRACIE: Also, don’t forget about fun fit friday. This Friday’s theme is country vs country club
MARLEY: Lastly, the NHS volleyball tournament is taking place tonight at 6. Talk to Ms. Klovekorn by the end of the day if you would like to make a team. There will also be a bake sale. All proceeds will go to charity, so even if you don’t want to play come out and watch

MARLEY: That’s it for news today, so let’s backhand it over to Addi for her serve on sports:
SPORTS INTRO: **
ADDI: First we are going to start by covering the Dale Plank Track Invitational that took place on tuesday. The girls team took 2nd overall while the boys team took fifth out of 10 teams. There were many events that took first place and lots of PRs on the night. And an extra congratulations to all the seniors on completing their final home meet

Now we have some very exciting news from last night as Talawanda swept SWOC rivals Harrison in all three sports.

Starting with softball, they overcame the Wildcats 8-5 claiming the title of SWOC champs by beating them a second time. Here is a video we received from Coach Davie featuring a huge triple hit by Kylie Cobb and the game-winning pitch by Makenna Weekley from the game.

Congrats and great work ladies.

Boy’s tennis scored a huge conference win over the Wildcats claiming first place in SWOC regular season. They beat them 3-2 after a 2 hour long tiebreaker by doubles team Connor Pulaski and Andy Page. Wins were also posted by Milo Flaspohler and Ryan Hohn. Congrats guys.

And Finally Baseball overcame Harrison 12-6 giving them a fighting chance at SWOC champs as they are now 1-1 against the wildcats.

As for tonight we have no sports on the schedule but the teams will be back in action tomorrow. That’s all we got for sports now for content we have marley and reagan with random questions
