Today is MONDAY, October 16th. Welcome to SECOND quarter, everyone. I’m MADALYN.
SIENNA:
and I’m SIENNA. Here’s what’s happening around THS.
MADALYN:
The Setting Stone Coffee House will be held on Friday, November 3rd.
SIENNA:
Past Coffee House performances have included full bands, solo performances, singer/songwriters, comedians, piano compositions, and a lot more.If you are interested in performing at the Coffee House, sign up outside of Mr. Aerni’s room, room 320, today.
MADALYN:
Sign ups for the Coffee House begin today. If you are interested in performing at the Coffee House, sign up outside of Mr. Aerni’s room, room 320.
SIENNA:
Additionally, Setting Stone members will meet tomorrow, after school, to discuss the upcoming merch printing field trip and the upcoming Coffee House! Be there!
MADALYN:
Also meeting tomorrow after school is Project Green in Mrs. Ruther’s room, room 224.
SIENNA:
And, don’t forget about Art Club in Mrs. Claire’s room, room 603.. Art Club will meet tomorrow after school, as well.
MADALYN:
For anyone interested in competing with the swim & dive team this winter, there will be a pre-season meeting this Wednesday at 7 PM in the high school cafeteria.
SIENNA:
The swim and dive meeting is a great opportunity to meet the coaches and get practice and meet schedules. Expectations for what you need to be on the team will also be shared.
MADALYN:
If you cannot make the meeting, see Coach Pasquale in Room 418 as soon as possible.
SIENNA:
Well, some of you may know that tonight is the first game of the tournament for the girls soccer team.
MADALYN:
That’s right–and, here with an interview of two members of the team is our own Cale:

And now, let’s go over to ADDI with Sports.
ADDI:
Welcome back from the long weekend talawanda. I have a couple of updates for you guys from the weekend so let’s get right into it.
Cross country took on the SWOC championship, Girls coming in first with Lucia Rodbro, Adriana Luking, Clara Cradduck and Sadie Abbit in the top 5. Boys came second with Max Bixler, Bryson Fears, and Garrison Franks in the top five. Lucia Rodbro and Max Bixler were both named SWOC runners of the year and Coach O was awarded SWOC coach of the year.
It’s that time of year when regular seasons have come to a close and we move into tournament play.
Girls soccer will compete in their first round of tournament tonight against Seton at 7pm
Volleyball also begins tournament play tonight. They will be on the road to Lakota West to face off against Fairfield at 7pm
