The PSAT will be held on October 25th, and the registration deadline has been extended until tomorrow.
WILL:
Registration for the PSAT is for sophomores and juniors only. See Ms. Adler in the counselor’s office for more information about registration.
DOM:
Talawanda Robotics club will have its first meeting today.
WILL:
Do you need additional help with school work? Tutoring For A Cause can help.
DOM:
Tutoring for a Cause a non-profit tutoring service that helps students from grades 4-12 with school work and studying.
WILL:
Tutoring for a Cause will meet at Lane Library, and was created to help Talawanda raise money after the tax levy failure. All of the money goes to the school.
DOM:

WILL:
Robotics club will meet in Ms. Schran’s room, room 412, right after school to examine last year’s robot and develop ideas for this year. Talk to Ms. Schran if you have questions.

Seniors in NHS will meet on Wednesday during tutorial in Ms. Klovekorn’s room, room 220.
WILL:
Additionally, any junior or senior with a 3.6 GPA or higher should check their email for details about how to apply to become a member of NHS.

One last thing regarding NHS, there will be a tutorial meeting on Friday in the cafeteria for anyone interested in applying. If you cannot attend, stop by room 220 or email Ms. Klovekorn.

One last meeting announcement–Best Buddies will meet this Friday during tutorial in Mrs. Sammons’ room, room 316.

The Best Buddies meeting will have light snacks and fun games–Everyone is welcome, so stop by on Friday.

This year’s Homecoming Dance theme is NEON NIGHTS, and will be held on Saturday, September 30th.
DOM:
Tickets go on sale through Hometown ticketing this Friday, the 22nd.
WILL:
Anyone planning to take a date who does not attend Talawanda must complete a guest form.
DOM:
Guest forms can be picked up starting on Monday in the main office.
WILL:
Make sure to read all information on the guest form before submitting it.
DOM:
Speaking of Homecoming, we have some breaking news on homecoming representatives.
WILL:
That’s right–The Talawanda homecoming court has been voted on and we’ve got the list right here.
DOM:
Freshman class representatives are Kemper McAfee and Lydia Staton
WILL:
Sophomore class reps are Brayden Douglas and Sadie Van Gorden
DOM:
Junior class reps are Ben Brown and Krupa Patel
WILL:
And the senior class court consists of Isaac Jones, Owen King, and Connor Schulte,

Congratulations to all of those Homecoming representatives.

All this week clubs and groups will have tables set up in the cafeteria during lunch as part of Club Rush week.
WILL:
Club Rush week is a great opportunity to see what the different clubs and groups here at THS are all about. Not only that, but students will then have a chance to get involved.

Switching gears a little–let’s go to the sports desk.

Here’s Addi with some sports updates. What’s happening in the world of THS sports, Addi?m
Addi:
Over the weekend we had a couple of things going on.

On friday our football team recorded their first win of the season against Dayton Carroll, congratulations and good work boys. Point contributions by Cale Leitch , Meech Morris-Williams, Lance Cantrell, and Nico Motta. On another note, our QB 1 is up for player of the week, so if you get a chance go vote Cale Leitch. You can vote every hour.

On Saturday, Volleyball was on the road to ross overcoming them 3-1.

The Cross Country team attended the Eaton Invitational. Both the boys and girls placed third overall. Four of our runners finished in the top 5. Lucia Rodbro and Adrianna Luking took the first and second place spots for the girls. Max Bixler finished second and Bryson Fears finished 4th for the boys.

Tonight, Boys soccer will be on the road to Monroe, Jv at 5 and Varsity at 7

Girls soccer will be at home tonight taking on Colerain Jv at 5 and Varsity at 7

Finally, Girls Golf will also take on Colerain at 4p.
