Talawanda Team 1 members Jared Sims and Shr-Lin Moore won Outstanding Witness Awards. Talawanda Team 2 members swept their awards with Eliza Sullivan and Muhammed Khan receiving Outstanding Attorney awards and  Shr-Shiang Moore and Kate Bolenbaugh winning outstanding attorney awards. The teams will compete next on Feb. 17.

Now for Zander with Moore sports.

Boys Basketball took two wins over the weekend, 73-63 over Mt. Healthy, and a 48-46 win over Franklin County which was highlighted by a Cale Leitch game winner at the buzzer. The boys are 11-6 overall and still sit only one game out of first in the SWOC.

Onto the girls who continued their winning ways also defeating Franklin County, 78-51 was the final. Kylee Fears led with a monster 26 point 16 rebound performance, Taylor Farris put up 20 points of her own in the girls 18th straight win. The girls will be back in action tonight at Taylor.

The girls swim & dive team captured their second straight SWOC title this past weekend, leading the way for the girls was Maren Patterson as she won both the 100 Free and 100 Back.  In both of these events Maren broke the league record and she took home the SWOC Athlete of the Year for swimming & diving for the third time in her career.  Also swimming well for the girls was Abbie Curry, who won both the 50 Free and 100 Breast.

The boys finished second at the SWOC championships, they held their own despite being Coach Pasquale’s smallest boys team he’s ever, Stephen Mullaly and Noah Femiani finished 2nd in their respective events, and the Swim and Dive teams will now focus their attention to the State Tournament next week.

Wrestling was at the Eaton Invite, Gavin Boner placed first at 113 and Sammy Dillon finished 2nd in 150. Wrestling will have a Try match next Wednesday.

Thats all the time I have for you today, but I leave you with a video of Bogseth and the boys playing hide and seek throughout the school, because that is what this channel has come to.
