Any current 10th grade student interested in applying to a Butler Tech program should apply through the Butler Tech website BEFORE January 31st.  Any current 9th grade student wishing to apply to the 10th Grade Academy at DRL should apply by this date, as well.  Please visit: butlertech.org/high-school.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Phelps or your school counselor.

Seniors – Local Scholarship opportunities are now available. Applications are due to Ms. Wise on February 23rd by 3 PM.  Please stop by the school counseling office for more information.

Drama Club will have a second Audition today from 3-5 for the play Ruthless.

Project Green Club will meet after school today in Mrs. Ruther’s room 224. All are welcome

Setting Stone will meet after school this Thursday in room 320. Be there to discuss important upcoming events and to begin looking through submissions for the magazine.

Boys basketball lost to Ross Friday Night 51-39, the boys struggled only shooting 27 percent from the field, they drop to 8-4 on the year and 3-2 in the SWOC

Staying on the court, Girls Basketball continued their winning ways taking out East Central in a Saturday Matinee, the Brave were led by Kylee Fears who scored 26, and Taylor Farris who scored 24. The girls stay undefeated at 13-0 and keep climbing the state rankings.

This weekend the wrestling team competed in the Sycamore invitational.  Caleb Dilhoff and Will Tanner placed 6th  at 175 and 157.  Isaac Jones placed 4th at 132.  Sammy Dillon placed 3rd at 150 and Gavin Boner placed first at 113.  The team is off from competition this week but will be back in action next weekend.

This past weekend the swim & dive teams took part in the Southwest Ohio High School Classic. This is the largest meet in the country with over 2400 kids and over 100 schools participating and the girls team finished in 19th place, while the boys team finished in 39th.  The girls were led by the quartet of Anna Gregg, Abbie Curry, Kaylyn Macechko, and Maren Patterson.  These 4 combined three times to finish 14th in the 400 Medley Relay, 11th in the 200 Free Relay, and 15th in the 200 Medley Relay.  Individually Maren finished 10th in the 50 Free, 11th in the 100 Free, and 13th in the 100 Back.  The boys were led by Julio Fuentes who placed 16th in the 1 Meter Diving event.  The swim & dive teams will be back in the water this Friday for their final home meet of the season, and before the meet, Seniors will be honored.

Only one home game tonight, Boys Basketball hosts Waynesville at 7:30
