Good morning Talawanda, today is Thursday, January 27th, 2022.

All students interested in playing lacrosse this spring, need to attend a parent/player meeting on Monday, January 31st.  The meeting will last from 6 pm to 7 pm in the PAC.  If you have any questions visit Coach Johnson in room 120.  

Congratulations to THS Mock Trial!  Both teams owned in the virtual courtroom and made it to regional competition. They’ll be competing February 18th and we will have more information and interviews leading up to the competition.

Seniors – Both the Talawanda and the Oxford Community Foundation Scholarship books are now available in the Guidance Office. The link is also on the Counseling website and has been sent to your student emails also.  

Please read the directions carefully as some requirements differ between the scholarship books. Both require your transcript, these do not need to be official. You will be given one copy and you can make as many copies as you want. You can request your transcript through Parchment. 

All applications are due Thursday, February 24th to the guidance office. See Mrs Roy with any questions.

The girls basketball team picked up another strong league win last night over Northwest, Eva Motta led the way for the Brave with 11 points along with a number of varsity debuts made last night, the girls have a huge matchup on the schedule tonight as they will host Badin more on that in a bit.

Week 2 for the academic challenge team meant 2 more wins, this week’s victim was Ross, the team is now 4-0 and will have a bye next week before hosting Mount Healthy on the 9th of February.

Once again, the hockey team’s game tonight against Miami was cancelled, the team will resume play on Saturday against the Cincinnati Swords.

Home games: the bowling teams will host Ross at 4, also the girls basketball team will have a huge non-conference game against Badin, JV at 6, Varsity at 7:30, we’ll also have that game live here on Channel 85, so tune in.
