Good morning Talawanda, today is Tuesday, January 18th, 2022.

There will be an FCA meeting this Wednesday, January 19th, at 2:15, location to be determined. Now for Whats the T followed by sports with Luke WP.

Despite a bus breakdown, the hockey team made it to Columbus for the Pioneer Classic this weekend, the team started 0-2 before winning their final 2 games to finish third, conference games will resume on Friday as the hockey team will take on Mason.

This weekend the swim and dive teams took part in the Southwest Ohio High School Classic.  This is the largest swim meet in the country as there are over 125 teams that take part in the meet.  Out of those 125 plus teams the girls team finished in 31st and the boys finished in 37th.  Top finishers for the Brave were Maren Patterson as she finished 11th in the 100 Back, 14th in the 50 Free, and 16th in the 200 Back.  A special shout out to Mercy Patterson as well as she won the 50 Fly.  On the boys side the 200 Free Relay of Noah Femiani, Zeke Groom, Stephen Mullally, and Alex Carlson finished in 16th and Julio Fuentes finished 15th in the diving event.  The Brave will be in the water this Friday for senior night as they take on Edgewood and Bellbrook in a tri-meet at the rec center.  Senior night festivities will begin at 6 PM with the meet starting right after.

The boys basketball team split the weekend, starting with a 60-48 loss on Friday against Ross, but bouncing back on Saturday defeated Cincinnati Christian in comeback fashion, the final in that one was 67-60, the boys are now 4-7 on the season and 1-4 in the conference with action resuming tonight against Taylor.

The girls basketball team suffered their first conference loss of the season yesterday on the road at Harrison, the team is now 10-2 overall and 4-1 in conference, with their next matchup set for tomorrow against Edgewood.

The wrestling team headed to Cincinnati this weekend for the Sycamore invite, more on that tomorrow.
