Tickets for the May 7th Setting Stone Coffee House are on sale now! The Coffee House will be held on Friday, May 7th in the courtyard outside the cafeteria, and feature performances from THS students! Tickets are limited, so pick one up today! Stop by Mr. Aerni’s room (320) to grab yours for $3. Any remaining tickets will be on sale at the gate for $5.

The 2021 Prom will be May 1st from 7:00-11:00 pm here at THS. Tickets are $20 and purchasing information will be sent to you via email. All current Juniors and Seniors, as well as the class of 2020, are invited to attend the prom. Seniors— please check with your English teacher for a link regarding prom attendance and prom queen and king! If you want to be on the king/queen ballot, you MUST use the link provided by your English teacher. The prom theme is “City of Stars” and we are hoping for good weather, a beautiful sunset, and a memorable evening. Please dress accordingly for the elements and a concrete dance floor.

Attention: Anyone who signed up to perform at the Coffee House–there is a mandatory Zoom meeting today at 3:40. You should have received an email from Mr. Aerni on Friday with the link. This is an important meeting regarding procedures for the upcoming Coffee House. If you signed up to perform, you must attend this meeting. Again, join the Zoom (link in your email) at 3:40 today.

A couple of big announcements came for the future of Talawanda Athletics over the EOC week, congrats to Mr. Davie down in guidance on being named the next head coach for the boys basketball team, and also a warm welcome to Jay Volker, he to Oxford after assisting the program at Kings high school pryor, he also has experience with successful programs Moeller and La Salle and additionally college coaching experience at Georgia Southern, so congrats and welcome to coach Volker, our football team is in good hands.

The baseball team had a tough week last week, splitting their doubleheader with Harrison, and being swept by Edgewood, the team has a change to get revenge on the Cougars tonight at home.

The softball team also went 1-3 last week with losses to Harrison and Hamilton and a split with Edgewood, they will also host the rival Cougars tonight.

The tennis team had better luck last week coming out on top in all 3 matches, first over Badin, then Ross and St. X “B” they are now 8-4 on the year they’ve got a long ride today as they will travel all the way to Wyoming, the one in Ohio of course, with their start time set for 4.

The track teams headed to Eaton this weekend, the girls took 5th and the boys took second, also 3 members headed to Lakota East to run in a very competitive field for the girls Maddy Iden was 4th in the 2 mile, Hannah Lippincott was 2nd in the mile, for the boys, Kiefer Bell was the lone athlete competing he placed 2nd in the 2 mile, just off school record pace finishing in 9:18, the team will head to Ross on Thursday and Friday.

The lacrosse team won both games last week, defeating Winton Woods 27-3, and Little Miami Friday 16-8, the team improves to 8-2 on the year and will travel to Bishop Fenwick for a matchup with falcons tonight.

Home games for this today: the baseball and softball teams both host Edgewood on the fields at 5.
