Good Morning Talawanda. Today is Tuesday, April 13th, 2021.

Calling all musicians, poets, and performing artists: Setting Stone is hosting its first, in-person Coffee House of the year on Friday, May 7th, and we are looking for performers! If you would like perform, you can sign up this week outside of Mr. Aerni’s room (320), or email settingstone@talawanda.org with your name and type of performance you would like to do! Due to certain restrictions, this Coffee House will be much different than in years past–so spots are limited. Sign up today!

Talawanda will be participating in Ohio Military Family Spirit Week this week. Today is Red, White, and Blue day, Wednesday is Camoflague day, Thursday is Statewide ‘Purple Up’ day, and Friday is RED day – Remember Everyone Deployed.  Talawanda is a Purple Star School and is proud to participate in this Spirit Week.

The 2021 Prom will be May 1 from 7:00-11:00 pm here at THS. Tickets are $20 and purchasing information will be sent to you via email. All current Juniors and Seniors, as well as the class of 2020, are invited to attend the prom. Seniors– please check with your English teacher for a link regarding prom attendance and prom queen and king! If you want to be on the king/queen ballot, you MUST use the link provided by your English teacher. The prom theme is “City of Stars” and we are hoping for good weather, a beautiful sunset, and a memorable evening. Please dress accordingly for the elements and a concrete dance floor. The Talawanda Key Club fundraiser has started!

In cooperation with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The Key Club Invites everyone to erase Cancer! Use the Website given out by your teachers to help in the effort.

The list of seniors who have qualified to graduate with honors is now posted outside the guidance office.   If you feel that you have met those requirements but are not on the lists please see your counselor as soon as possible.

Now for Lax Hype followed by sports with Luke West Poley

Bad luck for the Brave struck again last night with both the baseball and softball teams having to cancel their matchups with Mount Healthy those have been rescheduled to later in the year.

The tennis team fell to Little Miami 4-1 on the road last night, they fall to 3-2 on the season, tonight they will continue their road slate in Trenton as they will battle the Edgewood Cougars.

The lacrosse team came up with a big win last night at McNicholas, 19-7 was the score, Grady Holmes led the team with 9 goals, and Brendan Bohon had 5, also John Nelson had a big shot block for the Brave, the GCL road games continue for the lax bros on Thursday at La Salle.
