Good Morning Talawanda. Today is Thursday, October 29th, 2020.

Key Club is conducting a mini-food drive from now through November 1st!  Donations should be non-perishable breakfast items such as breakfast bars, cereals, etc.  These should be brought to Mr Ruther’s room, room 423.  Kiwanis and TOPSS are also accepting direct donations in addition to food donations.  If you are interested, go to topss.org to donate or contact a Key Club officer or Mr Ruther for more information!

Setting Stone will hold its first virtual Coffee House via Instagram on Friday, November 6th! If you are interested in performing (songs, comedy, poetry reading, etc.), please email settingstone@talawanda.org. Please include the following: 1. your name, 2. what you plan to perform, and 3. your instagram name. Sign up before Monday! There will also be a sign-up sheet outside room 320.

This week is the National FFA Convention. We have several students being recognized. Justin Beckner (2020 graduate) is recognized as the Ohio FFA State Winner in the Extemporaneous Public Speaking Contest. Talawanda-Butler Tech FFA is being recognized as a National 3-Star Chapter (highest ranking any chapter can earn). And 3 of our members & THS graduates from 2019 will be recognized for earning their American FFA Degrees. Dakota Kiefer, Colleen Minges, Matt Butterfield.

In August we had 5 CDE teams win top 5 in Ohio FFA, earning a total of 9 FFA banners for the 600 hallway in 2020. Big Accomplishment!
