And now for What’s the T and Luke WP

That was the scene last night as the girls basketball team defeated Edgewood on Senior night with great performances from Sophie Pohlabel and Kyra Koontz, and Freshman Kylie Fears led the Brave with 24 points. The girls improve to 6-12 on the year and 3-6 in the conference, their next game will be Saturday at Mount Healthy.

The Academic Challenge team swept Edgewood last night by the scores of 83-38 and 87-32 to improve to 12-0 on the season and clinch a share of the SWOC title..  The highlight of the match was when John Jacobson Whinery got that one question right.  The JV team also won against Edgewood with many strong performances.  The Varsity seniors did suffer an exhibition loss to Mr. Schmid after the matches.  Thank you to seniors Shr-Hua Moore, Jasper Ralinovsky, Abby Bahlau, and JJW for all the memories over the years.   Also thanks to Dr. Weatherwax for moderating this year.

Last night the Talawanda wrestling team traveled to Kentucky for a tri match against the Holmes Bulldogs and the Mt. Healthy Owls.  The Brave suffered a tough loss to the Bulldogs, losing with a score of 30 to 45.  Shae Dillingham, Logan Crauder, Arius Collier, Nathon Detherage, and Colton Baker all recorded victories in their matches.  Blake Detherage also won his exhibition match against the Bulldogs.  Against the Owls, the outcome proved to be much more favorable for the Brave as they emerged victorious with a score of 42 to 15.  Arius Collier, Kyle Schlabach, Colton Baker, Sammy Dillon, Davis Williams, and Nick Englehard all won their matches against Mt. Healthy.  The Team Dual will enter the final week of their regular season with a 5 and 2 team record.  Next wednesday they travel to Edgewood for a Quad against Carlisle, Xenia, and Edgewood.  Next Saturday they report to Lakota East to compete in the State Duals team tournament.

Home games for today: the hockey team looks to finish off an undefeated league campaign tonight as they host Alter at 8:40.

That’s our broadcast on this month I’m Luke West Poley, thanks so much for watching, and have a great day.
