Good Morning Talawanda. Today is Monday, November 25th, 2019

Key Club’s smash tournament will be held tomorrow.  Sign up on the sheet outside of room 301 (also known as Z’s room) by the end of the day if you want to join!  This is the last day to sign up.  Again, the fee is $5 when you get there, and 80% of the money made will go to the Oxford Food Pantry.  Players are encouraged to bring their own switches and controllers, but there will be some at the tournament for those who don’t have any. The rules for the tournament will be 3 stock, battlefield, no items, single elimination.  See you there!

Attention all students who are interested in a career in information technology:  Talawanda will be starting an Interalliance Chapter at the High School this year.  This club will be participating in the Tech Olympics at Great American Ballpark in February, have the chance to network with Cincinnati tech companies, and set up summer internships in the technology field.  If you want more information, please see Mr. Zimmerman or Ms. Klovekorn.  The first meeting for all those interested will be Wednesday, December 4th after school in room 301.

The academic challenge team had their first tournament of the year on Saturday. The JV team went 3-2 including wins over Elder’s and Edgewood’s varsity teams.  The varsity team of Shr-Hua Moore, Jasper Ralinovsky, Jens Bartel and Paul Bolenbaugh went 6-1 winning their division.

Are you making plans to work off that thanksgiving dinner and also enjoy the great outdoors? Try orienteering this weekend on Miami’s campus. Saturday will be an all day training workshop followed on Sunday by the event. If you are curious then you can stop by the Main Office and collect an informational pamphlet or visit OCIN.org for more details. If you have any further questions then contact Jasper Ralinovsky.

Art Club will meet on Tuesday, November 26th in Mr. Hunsche’s room until 4:00.  We have really enjoyed all the students coming to Art Club and we hope to gain even more artists before the end of the semester.

Students interested in traveling with Ms Mann and Mr Tincher in 2021 should attend the informational meeting on Thursday, December 5, from 7:00-7:45 in room 319. This is directly after parent/teacher conferences. Parents, grandparents, guardians please attend, too!
