Good Morning Talawanda. Today is Monday, October 14th, 2019

Attention Setting Stone members: shirt order forms have been posted to Classroom. Please add your name and shirt size–last day to order is this Friday.  Additionally, we will meet briefly after school today to discuss the upcoming Coffee House.

Key Club is raising money for the Thirst Project, a nonprofit organization aimed at helping provide safe drinking water in places where it’s not readily available, as well as help build wells for villagers across Africa.  We will raise this money by selling water themed pins during lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the rest of the month.  The minimum pin is only $1, but feel free to donate more!  Try to get a pin as soon as possible, as we have limited supply.

Students who are interested in taking CCP in the spring please know that applications are due by Nov. 1.  Please see your School Counselor if you have any questions.

Now for todays birthdays. Brooke Hubbard and Jeffrey McNeil turn 16, and Tiffany Johnson turns 17. Happy Birthday.

Talawanda Baseball Players: Open Field and Weights are cancelled this afternoon. Be ready to pick it back up Wednesday.

And now for Whats the T and Luke WP

The cross country team dominated the SWOC championships at home on Saturday.  The boys and girls teams were both victorious and in the process set new league records for the fewest points scored.  Hannah Lippincott and Kiefer Bell were named runners of the year for their first place finishes.  Maddy Iden, Lilly Iden, Eva Motta, and Libby Farmer were named first-team SWOC for their efforts.  Logan Murray and Jens Bartel were also named first-team.  Kylee Carver, Abby Bahlau, Eliot Berberich, and Benjamin Farmer were named second-team.  The team will try to advance to the Regional Meet this Saturday as they run the District Meet at Cedarville.

And the football team defeated Mount Healthy in a wild game on Friday night the final in that one 24-6, Deondre Bothast-Revalee had 3 touchdowns in that one and the football team picks up their first SWOC win of the year, they also improve to 5-2 overall and they will look to guarantee a winning record this year on Friday at Edgewood it will be a jersey out.

Home games for today: Girls soccer hosts Winton Woods in the first round of the State Playoffs, that will start at 7 and admission will be $6 and sports passes will not be accepted at this game.
