Good Morning Talawanda. Today is Tuesday, October 1st, 2019

Librarians from the Oxford Lane Library will be in the THS cafeteria during tutorial and all three lunches on Tuesday, October 1 to register students for the Lane’s teen library card.  It’s free and gives you access to print materials, audiobooks, and electronic resources.  Get your library card on Tuesday!

Attention Viola and Red Cross members: Our October Meeting will be Wednesday October 9th right after school in room 118.  Please plan to be there!!   We will discuss the Red Cross service project,  fundraisers and t-shirt orders.

Seniors interested in assisting with sophomore PRIDE Day should pick up an application from Mrs. Peter in the counseling office. Forms are due October 1st.

HOMECOMING is right around the corner! If you need assistance with homecoming attire, please see Ashley in the guidance office any Monday, Wednesday or Friday. 

Homecoming ticket sales will begin on October 4th. Tickets will be $15 each. You can purchase your ticket during lunch, or stop by the main office and see Mrs. Stivers. If you are bringing a guest that is not from Talawanda, you must get a guest form and purchase your guest’s ticket from the main office. 

Jostens will be in the cafeteria during lunch and after school from 5-7 until October 1st for class ring orders. Additional order packets are in the office.

Now for Behind the Scenes

Now for today’s birthday’s, Lilia Hool turns 15, Lauren Schlichter turns 16, and Gabriel Kelemen turns 17. Happy Birthday.

Voila is sponsoring SOCK-tober again this year!  We will take new socks of all sizes & types.  The socks will be donated to a local Hamilton charity.  Please drop them off to Room 118!!! We will collect the entire month of October.

And now for Whats the T and Luke WP

The girls golf team performed well at Sectionals on Monday, the team shot a 412, Jada Tegge shot a 94, other scorers for the Brave were Alysse Aylor shot a 101, Sophia Moore shot a 105, and Grace Clawson shot a 112. The Brave finish their season 16-4, 8-2 in the conference, good for second place.

JV Tennis defeated Ross yesterday, the Varsity team will head to Sectionals tomorrow.

We will be taking a spirit bus to Harrison this Friday for the football game so sign-ups will be in the athletic office, make sure to pack the stadium this Friday.

Home games for today: Boys soccer hosts Mount Healthy at 7, that game will be livestreamed on Channel 85, Grady Holmes will have the call for you there, and the Volleyball teams host Harrison, Freshman at 4:30, JV at 5:45, and Varsity at 7, the Varsity game will be livestreamed on ICRC TV, I’ll have that call so two livestreams in one night, a busy night for us at Channel 85.
