Good Morning Talawanda. Today is Thursday, September 12th, 2019

Best Buddies will have its first meeting of the year after school Today. Best Buddies is an international organization that aims to bring together students with and without disabilities in a friendly environment. Some of our events in the past have included field trips to the Reds Stadium, the Powder Puff football game, and an inclusive dance in the spring. Join us on Today, in room 316. We will have snacks!

Friday, September 13th in the PAC during 6th Period- there will be a free concert featuring popular music from Brazil, Cuba, Argentina and Puerto Rico, including selections by the country’s most important composers as part of the uniDiversity Festival. The performance is led by Miami University specialist Thomas Garcia, who is joined by local Oxford musicians Doug Hamilton and Noah Cope. The free concert is part of the festivities of the Latin American and Caribbean UniDiversity Festival and National Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month Celebration and is sponsored by multiple organizations within our community. All classes are invited but to reserve your spot, Teachers, kindly contact Ms. Hofmann in Room 117 to reserve your classes’ spot for this event! Thank you for those who have already done so.

And now for todays birthdays, Robert Brunner turns 16, Gaege Feix and Trey Walzer turn 17. Happy Birthday!

THS Baseball Players who volunteered for Trail Clearing need to meet in the student parking lot by the baseball field by 9AM Saturday, September 14. Please wear long pants and safe shoes. If possible, bring non-motorized hand tools like loppers and make sure you have your liability form with you or you won’t be able to participate.

Attention second-year senior NHS members: please meet in Ms. Alfonsi’s room on Tuesday, September 17, right after school.

And now for Whats the T and Luke WP

The girls tennis team fell to Mercy McAuley yesterday their record falls to  8-8 on the year.

The girls golf team defeated Northwest yesterday by a score of 193-209 they are now 7-2 in the SWOC good enough for second in the conference.

The girls field hockey team fell to Summit Country Day yesterday by a score of 7-1. Their next game is Monday at home versus Indian Hill.

Home games for today: Volleyball hosts Northwest Freshman at 4:30 JV at 5:45 and Varsity at 7 that Varsity game will be livestreamed on Brave TV.
