Anyone interested in playing baseball for Talawanda in the spring needs to report to room 413 for a meeting about fall workouts Today @ 2:30 PM.

Friday, September 13th in the PAC during 6th Period- there will be a free concert featuring popular music from Brazil, Cuba, Argentina and Puerto Rico, including selections by the country’s most important composers as part of the uniDiversity Festival. The performance is led by Miami University specialist Thomas Garcia, who is joined by local Oxford musicians Doug Hamilton and Noah Cope. The free concert is part of the festivities of the Latin American and Caribbean UniDiversity Festival and National Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month Celebration and is sponsored by multiple organizations within our community. All classes are invited but to reserve your spot, Teachers, kindly contact Ms. Hofmann in Room 117 to reserve your classes’ spot for this event! Thank you for those who have already done so.

The Marshall Girls on the Run team is looking for high school mentors.  You must be able to commit to one day a week Sept 9 through Nov. 15.  Practices are Mondays and Thursdays 3:45 to 5:15 at Marshall.  If you are interested, please contact Mrs.Lykins at lykinse@talawanda.org.

This year,  The World Language Club (Voila) is partnering with The American Red Cross.  If you are interested in learning more, plan to attend the Informational Open House on Tuesday, Sept. 10 – immediately after school in Room 118.

Attention Seniors – there will be a College Essay Workshop after school on September 9th from 2:30 – 4:00 PM. This is an opportunity to have your college essay reviewed by an admissions counselor or discuss ideas for essays that you still need to complete. This 1 on 1 help is offered completely free of charge! Our past graduates who attended found this to be a valuable experience and we trust you will as well. Come with your chromebooks and any/all essays that you need to complete as part of the college admissions process.

There will be an informational meeting for Big Brothers/Big Sisters Thursday the 5th right after school in the Media Center.

And now for Whats the T and Luke WP

The boys golf team remained umbeaten in the SWOC and improved their overall record to 7-1 with a 168-254 victory over Northwest.  Austin Goerss shot an even par 36 to medal for the Brave.  The team returns to SWOC action this afternoon as they travel to Circling Hills to take on Harrison.

The girls cross country team continued their great season with another fine performance at the Miamisburg Invitational on Saturday.  The girls took home the first place trophy with a convincing win over 12 other teams.  Hannah Lippincott set a new personal best to finish in 2nd place out of 113 runners.  Maddy Iden was 5th, Libby Farmer 6th (new personal best), Eva Motta 9th (new personal best), Lilly Iden 22nd, Abby Bahlau 28th (new personal best), and Zoe Moore 29th.  The boys race was stopped 2 miles into the race for thunder and the meet was then cancelled.  The cross country team does not race this week, but will be back in action next Tuesday and Saturday. 

The girls tennis team defeated (someone) by a score of 4-1 on Thursday their record improves to 1-1 in the SWOC.

The girls golf team fell to Harrison on Thursday by a score of 190-215 they fall to 7-3 on the year.

The girls soccer team battle to a draw on Thursday at Little Miami. They are now 2-1-1 overall and they play today at Harrison.

The boys soccer team fell to Little Miami by a score of 4-1 on Thursday night they fall to 0-3 on the year.

The volleyball team fell to Little Miami on Thursday in 3 sets their record falls to 1-4.

The football team defeated Preble Shawnee by a 41-7 score. Senior Terrell Wills and sophomore Deondre Bothast-Revalee each had 2 touchdowns the Brave win their season opener to improve to 1-0 and they play next this Friday at home versus rival Badin.

Home games for today: Girls varsity tennis hosts Ross at 4, and boys soccer hosts Harrison JV at 5 Varsity at 7 and that game is going to be livestreamed on our YouTube Channel.
