Good Morning Talawanda. Today is Thursday, May 16th, 2019

Attention Talawanda Hockey players: There will be an informational meeting today after school in room 124, Coach Tincher’s room. All players that are interested in playing for Talawanda next year must attend this meeting. We will be discussing the summer schedule and the 2019- 2020 season.

Lost & Found is overflowing with shoes, coats and string bags with items in them.  Please come to the main office and look!

Stressed about finals? Need to unwind? Come try YOGA! We will host FREE yoga session for any interested student in the media center today from 2:30-3:30 pm. No experience required!

Best Buddies members: Our end of year bowling party is this Saturday at 2pm at Oxford Lanes. Please check Remind or your email for the RSVP form. You need to RSVP so we have an accurate

count for bowling lanes and food. 

All students taking English 3 Honors with Ms. Webb next year: You must come to room 318 for Tutorial  Thursday, May 16 if you did not attend today.  Ms Webb will tell you all you need to know for your summer reading assignment. No pass will be necessary; an email will notify teachers after you attend the session.

Last night in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the San Jose Sharks took the 2-1 lead in the series with an overtime win over the Blues, and in the NBA, the Bucks took the 1-0 series lead over the Raptors in the East Final.

The Track team had a successful outing at the first day of Districts last night at Ross. Congratulations to the girls and boys 4 x 800 relay teams for qualifying to the Regional Meet next week.  The team of Hannah Lippincott, Eva Motta, Libby Farmer, and Maddy Iden ran a season best time to finish 4th and advance.  The team of Kiefer Bell, Jens Bartel, Logan Murray, and David Kraushar also ran a season best time to be crowned District Champions.  Both teams will compete next Wednesday. Running in finals on Friday will be: Kyra Koontz in the 100m dash, 100 hurdles and the 300 hurdles, Justin Browning in the 110 hurdles, Tyler Engelhard in the 400m dash and and our 800m runners of Hannah Lippincott, Jens Bartel and Kiefer Bell. Good luck to all the runners, jumpers and throwers.

Anyone interested in playing on the Men’s Golf team next year, there is a parent meeting at 4:30 at the Hueston Woods golf course on Sunday May 19th.  The first team workout will follow the meeting.  Contact Mr. Cawien or Mr. Gloeckner if you have any questions.

Home games for today: None, but good luck to Lacrosse as they travel to Indian Hill for the second round.
