Today, Best Buddies is celebrating Best Buddies month with two important and AWESOME events. Help us “Spread the Word to End the Word” by signing our banner and pledging to no longer use the “R” word in your everyday vocabulary. Second, help us celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing crazy, mismatched socks to school. Help us by showing your support of inclusion and all our students here at THS!

Students nominated for Hope Squad are reminded of the meeting right at 1:45 on Wednesday 3/20 in room 120.

The Spring Blood Drive will be on Friday, April 12th. Forms are ready for pick up in the office, room 611, or during lunch. Please turn in your forms to the office, room 611 or during lunch by April 10th, you will pick your time when you turn your form in. Talawanda High School is a red cord school. If you donate blood 3 times during high school you will receive red cords for graduation.  For every person who donates blood, you save 3 lives, what a great way to give to those in need! 

The Environment and Natural Sciences Club will meet Today after school in Mrs. Ruther’s room. Please complete the EarthDay survey on Google Classroom if you have not yet.

The Varsity Baseball team faced off against Roger Bacon last night. Mason Hansford started on the mound. Talawanda beat Roger Bacon 14-2 improving their scrimmage record to 3-0.

The Lacrosse team also picked up a win last night, they beat Winton Woods in their home opener by a 14-8 score. Grady Holmes had 8 goals in that game with 3 assists. Tommy Winkler had 6 assists in the game last night. So the lax bros improve to 1-0.

And finally today, two games in the March Madness First Four tonight to start the tournament.  Fairleigh Dickinson takes on Prarie View at 6:40 and Belmont tips against Temple at 9:10, those games are in Dayton tonight.
