Good Morning Talawanda. Today is Friday, March 15th, 2019

Best Buddies members: our March meeting has been changed. We will meet next Tuesday, March 19 after school until 3pm. Please see Mrs. Sammons for a list of important March dates (there a lot of them) or if you want to be on our club’s dodgeball team!

Jostens will be in the cafeteria during lunch on the 19th to deliver Graduation Announcement orders.

There will be NO chess club today.

And now an announcement about the NHS Volleyball tournament

On Tuesday, March 19, Best Buddies is celebrating Best Buddies month with two important and AWESOME events. Help us “Spread the Word to End the Word” by signing our banner and pledging to no longer use the “R” word in your everyday vocabulary. Second, help us celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing crazy, mismatched socks to school on Tuesday. Help us by showing your support of inclusion and all our students here at THS!

Attention Setting Stone: we will meet as a whole group on Monday, March 18. Please plan on attending on the 18th to begin planning out the magazine.

YIT Dodge and Dance is today!   Make sure to turn in your forms and waivers if you have not already.  They must be into the main office by the end of the day in order to participate

The Spring Blood Drive will be on Friday, April 12th. Forms are ready for pick up in the office, room 611, or during lunch. Please turn in your forms to the office, room 611 or during lunch by April 10th, you will pick your time when you turn your form in. Talawanda High School is a red cord school. If you donate blood 3 times during high school you will receive red cords for graduation.  For every person who donates blood you save 3 lives, what a great way to give to those in need!

The Oxford Parks and Recreation Department would like your thoughts about the possibility of designing a Teen Center within the TRI Community Center. Students who are in grades 6th-12th would be welcome to use the teen center. Our vision for the Teen Center would include game systems, arcade-style games, “plug n play” systems, flat screen TVs, a study area and a sound system for music.  We are looking forward to designing a safe place for teens in the community to have fun, be active, and hang out with friends. Please take the time to answer these questions honestly. Your input is important and appreciated!

Please come to the main office and find your coat!  Lost and found is overflowing and going to Oxford Resource Center Monday.  There are a few lunch boxes and bottles too!

And now for Extreme Week Day 5
