Good Morning Talawanda. Today is Tuesday, February 26th, 2019

All Seniors – Your senior picture deadline is coming up this Friday, March 1st. Email your pictures to yearbook@talawanda.org. Your picture must be bigger than 1 megabyte. If you have any questions, see Mr. Zimmerman in room 301.

The Talawanda Spring Social is this Friday, March 1 from 6:30-8:30 in the Talawanda Gymnasium. This event is sponsored by Best Buddies and invites everyone for a night of dancing, inclusion, and fun. If you are a student government officer or volunteered to help with the event, your donations can be brought to Mrs. Sammons anytime this week! We will set up for the event right after school on Friday until 3pm! We need all the help we can get!

Talawanda’s Key club will be hosting a Smash Brothers tournament for charity on March 1st in room 301 from 3:00 to 6:00. The cost will be 5 dollars up front on the day of the tournament. Participants should sign up on the sheet outside of room 301. Anyone else is welcome to join. A cash prize will be awarded to the winner. For further details, ask Eli Walter, Shr-Hua Moore, or Kyle Hoefker.

Now for the week ahead

And now for What’s the T and Patty G

No results to talk about today, but we wish best of luck to the boys basketball team who takes on Moeller this evening in Divisional Round playoff action. The Crusaders are coming off a 62-30 win over Middletown in the Sectional Round Friday. They are 22-0 on the season coming in. Tip is scheduled for 6pm at Fairfield High School, and we’ll, of course, pass the results along to you on Thursday, so best of luck to the boys basketball team.

Congratulations to Kyra Koontz for qualifying to the State Meet for Indoor Track in 3 events. Kyra will compete in the 60-meter hurdles, long jump, and triple jump on Saturday starting at 9:30. The top 24 performances in Ohio qualify to the State Meet. Kyra is currently ranked in the top 15 for all three events. So good luck to Kyra.

And we also give a shoutout to the boys bowling team who will be competing in their first ever district tournament tomorrow morning at Beaverview Lanes in Beavercreek. The action begins at 9:30 am where the boys will look to qualify for their first state tournament in Columbus.

And a quick program note, we will not be broadcasting tomorrow with all of the events happening around the school, so we’ll be sure to pass all of those playoff results to you on Thursday.

And that’s our broadcast on this Tuesday. I’m Patrick Geshan. Thanks so much for watching and we’ll see you in a couple days.  .
