Well the boys bowling team fell in their match with Northwest yesterday by 1 single pin. 2937 to 2936 was the final score – Jarrett White bowled the team’s first ever 500 series with a total score of 525. Gage Feix had a 478 and Aiden Lingsch bowled a 406 series. The boys team fought hard, but came just short in the end. The girls bowling team fell to Northwest by a score of 2686 to 1679. Grace Steigewald bowled a 328 and Emma Steigerwald had a 286 series.
In better sports news today, though, the hockey team came away from the Pioneer Classic Tournament in Columbus this weekend as champions – bringing home that massive trophy. They beat Toledo Southview, Athens, Dublin Scioto, and North Royalton for the tournament title and Grady Holmes was the star of the weekend scoring 9 goals in 4 games — so congratulations to the Hockey Team.
Over the weekend the Brave Swim and Dive Teams took part in the SW Ohio Officials Classic – the largest swim meet in the country. Things went well for the Brave this weekend. The girls finished in 28th place overall and the boys received 10th place. The girls were led by Mercy Patterson who placed 5th in the 100 backsroke and 7th in the 100 butterfly. For the boys, the quartet of John Anzano, Blake Madden, Ben Crowder, and Rhyan Meyers combined four times to place 8th in the 200 Medley Relay and 12th in the 400 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, and 400 Free Relay. Finally, Sam Hool won the diving event and Sean Mondello placed 4th. The Brave will be back in the water this Friday at home when they take on Little MIami and Hagerstown, IN for Senior Night. The Action begins at 6pm at the Rec Center.
The girls basketball team fell at Little Miami Saturday by a score of 57-31. Their record falls to 0-15 overall and 0-7 in the SWOC.
There are no home games for today. There will be a mandatory meeting for everyone interested in playing softball this spring on Thursday, right after school in room 210. Please see Coach Davie in Guidance with any questions.
That’s our broadcast on this Tuesday. I’m Patrick Geshan. Thanks so much for watching, and have a wonderful long weekend. Jarrett White wants me to tell everyone that if you sadly applied to UC before December 1st, check your email today at 5pm to see if you got in. Have a great weekend.
