Good Morning, Talawanda! Today is Friday November 30th, 2018

Jostens will be in the cafeteria December 5th from 7-7:45 am for order turn in.  This will be the last opportunity to turn in orders before break!

The first meeting of the THS Chess Club will be today after school in Mr. Yuva’s room.  Anyone who wants to learn, play, or watch is welcome.

Best Buddies is holding a canned food drive now through December 10th!  The first period who collects the most cans will win free donuts on us!  Start collecting those cans!  Also best buddies members:  Don’t forget to give your donations to Mrs. Sammons to support the family of four in which we are buying holiday gifts for!

And now for our All State athletes — you’re in good hands.

Birthdays for today:  Elizabeth Cantrell turns 15, Jacob Dennis turns 16, and Alexander Van Landeghem Gomez turns 18.  Also happy birthday to Mrs. Webb.

And now for What’s The T and Patty G.

The Boys Bowling team barely squeaked out a win in their first conference match of the season with a 2696 to 2652 win over Little Miami. Jarrett White led the way for the Braves with a 489 series, and Aiden Lingsch bowled a 417.

The girls bowling team also collected their first win of the season with a 1712 to 1628 victory over Little Miami. Baylee Essert was the leader for Talawanda with a 274, followed by Jessica Myers with a 265, making both bowling teams 2-0 yesterday.

Be sure to be at the Braves Hockey game this Saturday Night as Talawanda  faces-off against the Lasalle Lancers.  Puck drop is scheduled for 7:20 on the Goggin Practice Rink. Braves Hockey fans are known as the loudest in Southwestern Ohio, so be there and cheer for Talawanda.

No home games for today — but multiple teams are in action tonight. The boys basketball team begins their season against Waynesville at the Waynesville tip-off tournament this evening. Tip off is scheduled for 7:15 — and the Boys and Girls bowling teams will compete at the Midnight Madness tournament at Crossgate Lanes with the action starting THERE tonight at 10pm.

And that’s our broadcast on this Friday.  I’m Patrick Geshan.  Thank you so much for watching — and have a great weekend.
