Good morning, Talawanda! Today is Friday October 26th, 2018

Lists are now posted outside the Guidance Office for students who have qualified for our first quarter honor breakfast.  It will be next Friday, November 2nd.  9th and 10th grades will be 2nd period and 11th and 12th grades will be 3rd period.  Please let Mrs. Roy know if your name is not spelled correctly or you think you have qualified but your name is not on the list.

And now for perfect attendance students.

Birthdays for today:  Autumn Taylor turns 18, Kylee Robinson turns 18, Samantha Schuster turns 16, Ethan Zhou turns 15, Julianna Price turns 15, Cameron Scoggins turns 18, Jens Bartel turns 15, and Jace Griffin turns 17.

And now for world news and Patty G with sports.

In last night’s annual Powderpuff tournament, the juniors won for the second straight year, after knocking off the seniors in the championship game. So congratulations to the juniors, who keep the bragging rights for another year. A great event raising money for a great organization in Best Buddies.

So it’s Friday and the football team will play in their final game of the season tonight against archival Ross. The Rams are coming off a 52-6 win over Meadowdale, a school from Dayton, last Thursday. Their overall record coming in is 4-5 overall and 1-4 in the SWOC. Tonight’s students section theme for the final game of the season will be a Country Out, which will be harder for some people to pull off than others.

And we also send our good luck to the cross country team who runs in their regional meet tomorrow for a chance to advance to states. The top 7 girls and Kiefer Bell and David Kraushar for the boys will run in Troy tomorrow morning, so run hard guys and we’ll be anxious to see how you do this weekend.

And lastly, Game 3 of the World Series comes your way tonight from LA, The Red Sox have a 2-0 series lead over the Dodgers and it starts tonight at 8 ET.

And that’s our broadcast on this Friday.  I’m Patrick Geshan. Thank you so much for watching — and have a great weekend.
