Picture retake day is October 23rd from 7-11, and the Senior Panoramic will be taken at 1pm on the same day.  You can pick up an order form for retakes or the panoramic in the front office.

The first meeting of the academic team will take place after school in room 424 from 2:30-3:30 on Tuesday.  If you can not make it or have questions please see Mr. Schmid.

The first Setting Stone Coffee House of the school year will be on Friday, November 9th.  Sign-ups begin today.  If you are interested in performing, sign up outside of Mr. Aerni’s room (320) today!

And now for world news Patty G with sports.

The Braves Cross Country team had an outstanding weekend at the district meet at Cedarville University.  

The girls team scored 6th out of 18 teams, their best showing to date at the district meet, and the entire girls team of the top 7 runners all advanced to the regional meet next weekend at Troy.  Leading the runners from Talawanda was Maddy Iden placing 10th out of a field of 135, and running her season best time of 19:23 for the 5K.  Also earning top points for the team was Hannah Lippincott running another season best of 19:58, Libby Farmer and Eva Motta ran season best times and got inside the top 32.  Also congratulations to the rest of the girls team:  Abby Bahlau, Zoe Moore and Asya Walsh.  Best of luck to the seven runners at their regional race next weekend.

The boys scored 11th out of 26 teams,with an excellent showing.  Both David Kraushar and Kiefer Bell will continue their season and run next Saturday at the Regional meet.  The two runners pushed each other throughout the season and ended up crossing the finish line together.  Both David and Kiefer ran a season best of 16:42 for the 5K.  Congratulations to the other runners for the boys team who also had outstanding races:  Jens Bartel, Zeke Groom, Logan Murray, Kye Tomayasu and Luke West Poley.  Congratulations to the entire team for an outstanding season, and best to David and Kiefer as they continue their season next weekend.

The football team fell to Northwest by a score of 33-0 on Friday at Northwest.  Tyler Teeters went 6-21 passing for 83 yards and Tyler Englehard had 3 receptions for 71 yards.  The Braves have a record of  2-7, their 0-5 in the SWOC, and will look to snap their 6 game losing streak in their final regular season game at Ross next Friday. 

And the girls soccer team’s season  came to an end on Saturday with a 3-0 loss to Mason in the second round of the postseason. They finish a great year with a program record in wins and  an overall record of 12-4-2, so congratulations to the girls soccer team.
