Good morning, Talawanda! Today is Tuesday October 16th, 2018

Freshmen:  Candle orders are due this FRIDAY!  All $5 candy prizes have been claimed, but the next five students to turn in their seller packets will earn a package of gummy bears!  Please continue to sell and turn in packets so your class has the necessary funds for homecoming next year!  We have a long way to go!  Prizes will be delivered on Wednesday!

Attention YITs, please meet in the Teachers Lunchroom after school on Wednesday for our meeting.  New members are always welcome!

Members of Girls Who Code, our next meeting will be this Wednesday, October 17th, right after school in room 220.  The meeting will last until 2:45 and there will be snacks!

And now for an investigation on the broken window.

Best Buddies members:  t-shirt orders are due to Mrs. Sammons by this THURSDAY!  Be sure to turn in order forms and your $12 as soon as possible.  If money is an issue, let Mrs. Sammons know!

And now for world news and Patty G with sports.

The field hockey team fell to Ursuline last night by a score of 6-0 in their first round playoff game, ending their season. So we congratulate the field hockey team on a successful year.

There are no other Talawanda results to report from last night, but in boys soccer, Oak Hills knocked off Kings 3-1 in first round playoff action yesterday, so the boys soccer team will play Oak Hills in their first playoff game at home on Thursday.

And the girls soccer team will begin their playoffs tonight at home against Princeton. Kickoff is 7pm at the High School. Princeton beat Talawanda 1-0 in a first round playoff matchup last year — so the Braves are looking for some revenge tonight. Again, 7pm at the field for the girls soccer team. A reminder that no Braves sports passes will not be taken at the gate tonight, the only passes accepted will be Southwest Ohio district passes. Tickets are $6 for both students and adults for the playoff games at home.

And that’s our broadcast on this Tuesday.  I’m Patrick Geshan — hoping to report some wins tomorrow. Thank you so much for watching — and have a great day.
