Reminder that there will be Braves for the Cure shirts for $12, and bracelets for $1.  They will be for sale during lunches and in Mrs. Gregory’s room all week.  The pink out football game is on October 12th, so make sure to purchase your shirt to support the braves, and help raise money for the side out foundation, and Luna cares.

Freshmen:  Don’t forget to sell candles to your family and friends!  If you sell 12 items, you get a free $20 candle!  The $10 gift card winner is already claimed, but the next 3 students to turn in seller packets will receive $5 worth of candy! Stay tuned for more prizes and keep selling! See Mrs. Sammons for questions

Best Buddies members:  Our October chapter meeting is this coming Tuesday, October 9 right after school in Mrs. Sammons’ room.  We will have snacks, play a game, and discuss upcoming events and tshirts. See you Tuesday!

Fan appreciation night last night at the field was a big success with the Braves boys soccer team pulling through on a 4-1 win over Edgewood. Sam Robinson, Tristan Fontaine, Jake Kelly, and Max Farrell put points on the board for Talawanda. Tom Winkler had 6 saves in the win. Their overall record is 12-1-0, and the champion Braves improve to 10-0-0 in the SWOC.

The girls volleyball team beat Edgewood on the road last night in 5 sets in a quality conference win. The Braves record overall improves to 6-12, they are now 4-6 in the conference.

And the girls soccer team also gathered a win as well with their 1-nill victory on the road at Edgewood.  The Braves are now on a 4 game winning streak and are in 3rd place in the SWOC. Their conference record is 7-3-0.

The pre-season swim and dive meeting will be next Tuesday, Ovtober 9th at 6:30 PM in the Performing Arts Center.  If you are interested in swimming or diving for the Braves this upcoming winter pease come to this meeting to meet the coaches of the team, obtain practices and meet schedules, and learn what the expectations are to being a part of the team that has won 12 consecutive league championships.  If you cannot make it to this meeting please see Coach Pasquale in Rm 418 or send him an email at pasquales@talawanda.org.

There are no home games for today but our football team takes on Mt. Healthy tonight on the road. The Owls come in with a 3-3 record having won 3 of their past 4, including a 28-20 victory over Campbell County, KY last week at home.  Keep in mind kickoff tonight is at 7:30, not 7 — and the students section theme at Mt. Healthy is a Neon Out.

And that’s our broadcast on this Friday. I’m Patrick Geshan. Thank you so much for watching — and have a great weekend.
