And now for world news and then Patty G with sports.

For the first time since 2014, the Talawanda Braves football team is 1-0 following a 34-12 win over Preble Shawnee on Friday night. Adam Crank threw for 81 yards and rushed 139. Terrell Wills rushed 129 yards, and Tyler Prater received for 42. The Braves had 21 first downs as a team. It is great news for our football team that has worked so hard to improve over the summer, so this is great to see. The next game is at Badin at Hamilton High School on Friday, and of course we’ll get you all set up for that matchup on Thursday.
