Club News for today: Model UN will be meeting in Mrs. Mahaney’s room today, all members be sure to bring their forms and fees. Best Buddies will have a meeting on Tuesday, October 10, after school in room 316. Students are still welcome to join as new members, as the club plans future October events.
Are you interested in taking CCP classes in spring? Reminder the deadline to apply is November 1. Please see your counselor for additional details.
The Fall Setting Stone Coffee House will be held next week, Friday the 13th. If you are a musician, rapper, poet, or performing artist of any kind, please come sign up this week outside Mr. Aerni’s room 320 for a chance to perform.
Quick reminder to anyone planning on bringing non-THS students as a guest to the Homecoming dance. Please stop by the front office to complete the guest form, and make sure your guest brings proper ID the day of the dance.
For Talawanda wrestlers, preseason conditioning and agility will be starting on Tuesday, October 10, and continue to Thursday and Friday. Be sure to attend mandatory practice on November 10, and the first competition will be on December 2.
Miami University Regional Campuses would like to invite THS students and parents to attend the Southwest Ohio Regional College Fair. The fair will be held at Miami Hamilton Campus on October 24 from 6:30-8:00 pm. Over 100 colleges and universities will be attending, along with a Financing Your Education seminar from 6:00-6:30 pm before the fair. More information can be found on the Miami website’s admission page.
Congratulations to Kieran DelVecchio who was the winner of the $10 gift card for their candle sales. Next three students to turn in their packets can still receive a reward, so keep up the sales.
The Talawanda Marching Band will be performing their show, “Shadows and Light” tonight after the football game. Make sure you stay after to watch. With the very talented drum line, it will be worth the wait.

One home game tonight: and that’s the homecoming game against Mt. Healthy. The Owls come in 2-0 in the SWOC – but last week they fell to Campbell Country 41-6.
