Club News for today: for Voila! members, there will be a meeting today after school in room 118 so be sure to be there. Model UN will be meeting in Mrs. Mahaney’s room on Friday, all members be sure to bring their forms and fees.
The Fall Setting Stone Coffee House will be held next week, Friday the 13th. If you are a musician, rapper, poet, or performing artist of any kind, please come sign up this week outside Mr. Aerni’s room 320 for a chance to perform.
Quick reminder to anyone planning on bringing non-THS students as a guest to the Homecoming dance. Please stop by the front office to complete the guest form, and make sure your guest brings proper ID the day of the dance.
For those who are interested, Wright State will be visiting here in the guidance office on Thursday. Feel free to stop by during the day or during tutorial.
For any hockey players, there will be an informational meeting next Thursday, October 5 at 2:45 pm in room 124. Players will receive schedule information and other administrative items, so please attend!
Any girls interested in playing softball this spring need to attend a mandatory meeting tomorrow at 7:00 am in the gym.
Also for Talawanda wrestlers, preseason conditioning and agility will be starting on Tuesday, October 10, and continue to Thursday and Friday. Be sure to attend mandatory practice on November 10, and the first competition will be on December 2.
Miami University Regional Campuses would like to invite THS students and parents to attend the Southwest Ohio Regional College Fair. The fair will be held at Miami Hamilton Campus on October 24 from 6:30-8:00 pm. Over 100 colleges and universities will be attending, along with a Financing Your Education seminar from 6:00-6:30 pm before the fair. More information can be found on the Miami website’s admission page.
It is Voila’s annual SOCK-tober event! For the month of October, Voila will be collecting new pairs of socks of any kind as donations. Help out by stopping by room 118 and donating to the blue bin.
For any Best Buddies members, if you would like to ride along on your homecoming parade float, feel free to join and meet at Millett’s parking lot at 5:30 pm.
Freshman: keep up the good work on your candle selling. First student to turn in their packet to Mrs. Sammons will receive a $10 gift card.

Girls Volleyball won their 7th match of the season yesterday and their 4th in the conference with a straight-set victory at Mt. Healthy. The Volleyball team’s senior night is tonight during their final home match against Edgewood. The match starts at 7:00 pm with the senior introductions happening before the game.
Girls soccer beat Northwest at home yesterday by a 5 to 1 margin. The Braves are now above .500 in the conference for the first time this year with a 3-2 record in the SWOC. Their next match is Tuesday against Ross.
And after falling the previous night to Colerain 5-0, the girls’ tennis team beat the Cardinals on their home court yesterday afternoon 3-2 during their senior night. The girls end the scheduled season with an 8-11 overall record and a 5-1 record in the conference.
Home games for today: Boys’ JV and Varsity soccer host Northwest, JV at 5:00 pm and Varsity at 7:00 pm, and Girls JV and Varsity Volleyball face off against Edgewood on their senior night, JV at 5:45 pm and Varsity at 7:00 pm
