Club News for today: for Voila! members, there will be a meeting tomorrow after school in room 118 so be sure to be there. Model UN will be meeting in Mrs. Mahaney’s room on Friday, all members be sure to bring their forms and fees.
Talwanda Butler Tech FFA Chapter participated in the District Land Evaluation competition yesterday in Middletown. The Urban evaluation team finish 2nd in the contest of 16 teams, Dakota Kiefer finishing 4th, Austin Lake finishing 6th, and Joseph Copeland finishing 7th out of 78 other students.
Rural evaluation finished 4th place out of 21 teams, commendations go out to Sarah Allen, Ben Eichler, and Spencer Crauder. Good luck to the teams as they head to State Finals this Saturday
Sophomores, Josten’s will be here today during lunch and in the evening from 5:00-7:00 pm to take class ring orders. If you still need a packet with information, stop by the main office for an extra copy.
For those who are interested, Miami Hamilton will be at school in guidance today, along with Wright State on Thursday. Feel free to stop by during the day or during tutorial.
For any hockey players, there will be an informational meeting next Thursday, October 5 at 2:45 pm in room 124. Players will receive schedule information and other administrative items, so please attend!
Also for Talawanda wrestlers, preseason conditioning and agility will be starting on Tuesday, October 10, and continue to Thursday and Friday. Be sure to attend mandatory practice on November 10, and the first competition will be on December 2.
Miami University Regional Campuses would like to invite THS students and parents to attend the Southwest Ohio Regional College Fair. The fair will be held at Miami Hamilton Campus on October 24 from 6:30-8:00 pm.
It is Voila’s annual SOCK-tober event! For the month of October, Voila will be collecting new pairs of socks of any kind as donations. Help out by stopping by room 118 and donating to the blue bin.
For any Best Buddies members, if you would like to ride along on your homecoming parade float, feel free to join and meet at Millett’s parking lot at 5:30 pm.
Freshman: keep up the good work on your candle selling. First student to turn in their packet to Mrs. Sammons will receive a $10 gift card.

Boys’ Varsity Soccer is making a historic run, earning their 10th win of the season by defeating Eaton last night 4-1. The Braves were led by juniors Nick June and Quinn Flaspohler who both had a goal with two assists. Jake Kelly and senior co-captain Andrew Belec netted two more goals to give the Eagles their worst loss of the season. The Braves finish at home with 3 games left against Northwest, Ross, and Winston Woods. Come out Wednesday at 7:00 pm to support the team.
The volleyball team fell to Badin on the road yesterday in 3 sets. Their record drops to 6-12 on the season, the Braves continue their road stretch tonight when they visit Mount healthy at 7:00.
The tennis team also fell in their match yesterday – a 5-0 loss in the first part of a home and home with Colerain. The home and home is completed tonight at 4:00 pm on the tennis courts for the tennis team’s senior night. It begins at 4:00 pm.
Home games for today: Girls Tennis takes on Colerain at 4:00, and Girls JV and Varsity Soccer play Northwest. JV at 5:00 and Varsity at 7:00.
